Israeli lieutenant Dr. Mordechai Kedar Speaks In Brooklyn Heights

Israeli lieutenant Dr. Mordechai Kedar, who made a sensation on al-Jezeera, spent a Shabbos in Brooklyn Heights and explained how Middle East peace "can never work."
Article From COLive by Raanan Isseroff
See the original article

Israeli lieutenant Dr. Mordechai Kedar of Ben Gurion University, an expert in Arabic culture and a former Israeli IDF officer, spoke this past Shabbos at Congregation Bnei Avraham in Brooklyn Heights to a full house.

Israel and her security were clearly foremost on everyone's minds.

Dr. Kedar made a sensation in 2008 when he was interviewed by al-Jezeera television and answered in a very fluent and rich Arabic. He countered contentions that Jerusalem was ever a significant city in the Koran, responding "Jerusalem is not anywhere to be found in the Koran."

The correspondent got upset insisting that to say such things was in insult to Islam. In fact, Dr. Kedar told me later, that it took the correspondent a week to recover from the interview as he took it quite personally.

The interview went viral on the internet a few years ago and so we were expecting something similar on Shabbos. We were not disappointed.

In discussing the Arab Israeli conflict on Shabbos morning to an American audience unschooled in Arab culture, Dr. Kedar explained that first we have to understand how Arabs look at Jews and then how they view peace.

After explaining the place of Jews in the Muslim religion, he went on to examine what the Islamic view of peace actually is depending on who you are. In the year 628, Mohamed took his army and went to conquer Mecca. He could not conquer it as they had a larger army, so he made a temporary peace with the people of Mecca for 9 years, 9 months and 9 days.

As soon as the Meccan’s saw there was peace, they rested their army and went about their business never expecting that 2 years later in 630, Mohammed would take his army, invade the city, slaughter the population and convert it to Islam.

As such, Dr. Kedar explained, this is the sort of peace sanctioned by the Koran for non-believers of whom Jews are included. The implication was clear.

Israel’s continuing a farce of a treacherous peace, can never work. By Mincha, the audience was softened up and no one was even suggesting that peace might work. In fact the question that someone asked was really the one on everyone’s minds.

“If this is the sort of Peace that Muslims have in mind so how can it be that Israel continues to make treaties and give away land?”

We knew we were not talking to someone unschooled in the back and forth of the peace process. His answer really surprised us all. “You have to understand Israel and how they think. There are those who run our government on their theories. There are others who live with realities.”

He explained that American culture as a whole cannot conceive of the Islamic culture. In Israel, there are those who run its government who operate with the same mindset. Here, is where there is a disconnect.

In Israel as well, the government is split between those who know the realities and others who live by their theories, trying to apply European diplomacy and honor to Arab culture and trying to impose these ideas on Israel’s foreign relations with cultures for which there is no word for “Peace” as Europeans conceive of the term. The Islamic idea of “Peace” depends on how strong you are. If you are strong so they will make peace with you, until you are not strong. This is a cultural reality.

As well, it depends on whom they are making peace with. A fellow Muslim or a non-believer. As such, very different rules apply.

For the non-believer peace is only allowed if done as Mohammed did to Mecca…

This is not a speaker for those who think Lubavitch is into blasting Islam and Muslim practice, something the Lubavitcher Rebbe never did. We did however see the Rebbe taking the Israeli government and its politicians to task to waken in them a sense of responsibility for the safety of her Jews. A point that the Rebbe goes into over and over again. Never once relenting on the very point that Dr. Kedar brings out.

Peace for Land with the other side is simply impossible.

Lt. Kedar speaks a certain truth without pointing fingers at this one or that one. And truth, real truth, speaks for itself.

Lieutenant Kedar is an excellent speaker. Rabbi Aaron Raskin was very impressed as were we all. He is highly recommended as a truly expert speaker as a military person on the realities of Land for Peace.

Lawyer Lectures on Shleimus Haaretz

Lawyer Mark Langfan Speaks To Shluchim About Security Concerns
Article From Shturem.org by Raanan Isseroff

See the original article
Mark Langfan has an unusual hobby. He spends his time and a lot of his money creating attractive booklets and pages that explain in multiple languages the dangers of Israel pursuing a road of Land for Peace. Speaking in English to a mostly Israeli crowd of Lubavitcher Shluchim Sunday, Rosh Chodesh Kislev, he managed to convey to an unbelieving audience his heartfelt message that Land for Peace is a lie.

The mostly Israeli audience comprising a small part of the hundreds of Chabad emissaries that made their way to Crown Heights to participate in the annual conference of Shluchim, could not believe that a man could burn with such a passion for their Rebbe’s cause and for the cause of saving Israeli Jews from a Holocaust. In short, they could not believe Mark was for real.

But he soon captured their hearts despite the lack of internet connections for his presentation and poor speaking facilities. First of all, Mark has spent years researching the military problems with giving away Israeli land that was won fair and square in four wars in which the Jewish nation was attacked and fighting a very defensive war and nevertheless won.

Not only has he researched the problems, but with his hobby of Topography and a good eye for graphics, Mark has created a short show which quickly explains the shortcomings of giving even one inch of land to a dangerous terrorist enemy. An enemy Israel is trying to fruitlessly convince its Jewish citizens that is now “our friend”.

In his quest for truth, Mark has been invited to make presentations before Congress, before the military and has sought out the ear of senators and congressmen willing to give him a few moments of their busy time. “When congressmen go to Israel, they know the facts better than most Israelis” Mark told us. His fame in the Jewish community is apparent.

A self proclaimed expert? Mark says “No. I am a lawyer. I know how to argue and what I am arguing is the truth. Bring me as an expert and the other side will be hard pressed to bring someone who can say otherwise”. He told us. “Because they can’t.”

He isn’t kidding.
How many people know the actual range of a Ketusha ? About 19 miles! (although our audience contained seasoned military veterans who told us 24 miles is the latest range) How about that they are equipped to propel deadly chemical or biological warfare? How many people realize that the 7 to 12 mile strip of land starting from Tel Aviv and going up to Netanyah is on the downhill slope of a chain of hills that will be given to a dangerous enemy known to have short and long range missles?

Wiki had this to add:
Israel captured BM-24 MRLs during the Six-Day War (1967), used them in two battalions during the Yom Kippur War (1973) and the 1982 Lebanon War, and later developed the MAR-240 launcher for the same rockets, based on a Sherman tank chassis. During the 2006 Lebanon War, Hezbollah fired between 3,970 and 4,228 rockets, from light truck-mounts and single-rail man-portable launchers. About 95% of these were 122 mm (4.8 in) Syrian-manufactured Bm-21 artillery rockets, which carried warheads up to 30 kg (66 lb) and had a range of up to 30 km (19 mi). Hamas has launched 122-mm “Grad-type Katyusha” rockets from the Gaza Strip against several cities in Israel, although they are not reported to have truck-mounted launchers.

Mark includes specs for the Ketusha’s which were instrumental in destroying Hitler’s mighty legions in World War II. A cheap rocket fired out of tubes that is easily smuggled anywhere and is capable of inflicting horrible damage on Tel Aviv and the other cities on Israel’s Mediterranean seaboard hardly the weapon of choice, but fired downhill with only a minute or two warning can do untold damage.

A Lubavitcher Shaliach sitting next to me, Rabbi Yehuda Friedman of Flatbush was stunned. “He has put more into this than most Lubavitchers!” I had to agree. Even though the multinational crowd had a hard time following the English, Mark said: “No Problem! I have everything in Hebrew.” As we watched he pulled out the material in Arabic and he told us, that it is also available in French, Russian, Spanish and even Indian.

“If you want to bring this to court in Israel” he told us: “Call me! I am a lawyer and they will listen.”
We had to agree. His website: www.MarkLangfan.com is loaded to the gills with free plagerizable information, maps, charts and other materials to make the complex simple. From Marks presentation and heartfelt arguments, one is left with an inevitable truth: “The Peace that Israel wants us to be believe will happen, will never happen. It can never happen.

One Shliach suggested that Mark approach AIPAC. “AIPAC will never invite me” he told the man. “Why not? Doesn’t AIPAC support Israel?” In a nice way Mark explained that he does not stand for their agenda. The rest of us knew what he meant. Since early 1995, AIPAC has officially endorsed the Israeli Peace plan.

Telling us about his adventures in Washington, for which he was awarded by ZOA, “If you have a shul or group, call me and I will come and talk to them”. One Rabbi asked him on the spot to come to his shul in Tampa. “No Problem!” Mark replied.

He isn’t kidding. In 1996, he was asked to present to the US Army reasoning in defense of why Israel should not withdraw from Golan:
"Mark Langfan and Dore Gold propose that upon regaining control of the Golan, Syria will flood the territory with Syrian population by resettling the 100,000-130,000 citizens that evacuated during the 1967 war in order to reestablish sovereignty. Mr. Langfan proposes that these civilians would be potentially hostile and might attack U.S. forces with "mines, remote controlled [road] side-bombs, snipers, grenade launchers or even suicide "Beirut" type car bombs."

Speaking in an interview on Arutz Sheva recently Mark put it this way:

“NATO and the entire EU now has an absolute vested interest against the establishment of an autonomous Palestinian state in the "West Bank". It has become abundantly clear that if such a state was in existence Hamas would smuggle in thousands of katyusha rockets with chemical warheads that have the power to wipe out the entire Tel Aviv coastal plain that holds 5 million Jews - in one evening."

Mark was invited to speak by Rabbi Shalom Dov Wolpo of The Gush Katif Museum & SOS-Israel with the generous assistance of Chabad4Israel staffers who helped make the event possible. Space was donated by Aishel Hachnossos Orchim and scheduled by the Kinus Committee of Beis Moshiach.

Mark isavailable to speak.

Pikuach Nefesh Launches New Website!

Rabbi's Against "Land For Peace" Process
"The Rabbinical Congress For Peace," AKA: "Pikuach Nefesh" has launched their new website in English and in Hebrew. Seen as the next tool in presenting the dangers in giving away Israeli land to the Arab enemy, The website presents the Torah view that "Land concession is forbidden".

How Is Land For Peace A Danger To Life?

This commonly misunderstood point about Jewish law is explained at length.
The site goes into this presenting many legal proofs and points based on Jewish law to educate about the danger of :
1. How danger to Jewish life pushes aside the whole Torah
2. Prohibitions involved in making deals with genocidal or untrustworthy individuals
3. Problems with giving away the Holy Land since we now possess it.

Recruiting for Rabbis?
Looking For Rabbis To Come Out Of The Closet
The Rabbinical Congress hopes that a show of unity of non-affilliated rabbi's from the most diametrically opposed sectors will encourage other rabbi's to join with Pikuach Nefesh in "coming out of the closet". To be more active and vocal in telling their congregations the real dark halachic truth about what "Land for Peace" means without fear of losing their jobs. The previous Lubavitcher Rebbe joked during the war about how in those days, a rabbi was forbidden to talk about Shabbos, Kashrus and Taharas Hamishpacha (mikva) for fear of losing one's job. Today, this fear is still very real, but the subject is the Peace process. A rabbi is hired by the synagogues board of directors and walks a fine line between pleasing those on the board and saying what must be said.

It is thought that most Rabbis were silent during the Gush Katif expulsions because they feared for their jobs. Pikuach Nefesh see's their organization as a vehicle to educate Rabbonim and congregations about the Holocaust like implications of giving away Land for Peace.

However, it is further felt that if rabbonim were to explain to their congregations about the true history and Nazi philosophy that Israel is seeking to "make peace" with, so this will in some way have an effect as well.

Explaining the peace process has many aspects about how it can be explained. To just say: "Peace is forbidden" needs explanation. Who are we making peace with? What are the terms? Are they fair? Why are land concessions problematic from a halachic viewpoint?

The word: "Peace" evokes such happy and romantic thoughts of goodness. To counter the real danger involved, the dirty truth must be revealed. For example, during the war, the Germans fooled Jews into believing they would not be killed by telling them: "You are being relocated".

Today, the German educated Arab national movements have all espoused this method of dealing with the Jews. "We only want peace" is only a front for genocide.

As one Rabbi put it: "How can we scream "Never Forget" if we already have forgotten? I mean look at them for G-d's sake, they even print copies of Mein Kempf in Palestinian! You can't make peace with that-" (See "The Telegraph" "Mein Kampf in Arabic is sixth best seller in Palestinian Authority"

Declassified Israeli Government Maps From 2005 Show The Extent Of Israel's Retreat Plans

Public Maps Shed Light On Extent Of Israeli Withdrawl Plans From Jerusalem & Shomron
Israel National News
12/30/2011
Does Israel have a secret plan for retreat it is keeping to since 2005?

Old maps from the Washington Institute and Israel itself came to light recently that purport to shed light on Israel's wuffling in the withdrawing or retaking the Shomron and West Bank areas it is appears to be withdrawing from. According to this Feb 20, 2005 map from the Washington Institute of Near East Studies:
the extent of the withdrawl is well defined and appears to be the same route Israel's government is taking today. (see original map)

In 2007, the map had not changed too much as this declassified Israeli map from 2007 shows:

More recently, in 2011 the Washington Institute For Near East Policy put this map on its website as "defining the infinate possibilities of withdrawl":
This they do, as if "Withdrawl Is The Only Option".
But is withdrawl the only option to peace?

The Water Weapon Of The West Bank
Is there a potential for Israel to be starved of water by giving away its most major source of water?
Most experts think there is.

They maintain that only Israel must cooperate and trust whoever is occupying the West Bank to maintain acceptable water flow to Israel. This means you have to trust your enemy, a contradiction in terms. Something Israelis today are having a hard time doing. Today with the recent cut off of oil and gas from Sinai, a self evident reality about the a need for security has set in. A security that can only be ensured by Jewish control of any area it depends on.

Historically, this has been the situation under the last 500 year rule of the Turkish Empire for most of the Middle East.
Israel is no exception to the rule.

The subject is so volatile that seminars seeking solutions abound. Abounding too are the decryers of Israel's most basic needs for water. The decriers exhibit complete ignorance of how Israel very resourcefully "scrounges" water from the brackish and slightly saline sources to present a measure of normal drinking water.

An over pumped and oversourced natural resource. Water needs are so dire, that water is desperately being pumped out of the Sea of Galilee severely lowering its levels.

Each solution presented requires: "Trust". A trust Israel has had broken over and over again.

Hydrologist, Prof. Stephan Libiszewski presented research into Israel's water options in 2005. He says there, that most of Israel's water comes from the West Bank.:
"Because Israel's coastal aquifer has deteriorated, the West Bank's "Mountain Aquifer" now constitutes the country's main supplier of drinking water (State of Israel 1992: 57)."[1]

In 1990 then Agriculture Minister Rafael Eitan's office found they were getting no support for Israel's water needs. Mr. Eitan had published a full-page ad in the Jerusalem Post warning of the mortal danger of giving up control of the water lying beneath the West Bank[2].

The reason being simple: Give up the West Bank and you doom Israel to water starvation.

David Bedein: Israeli Government Maps Show Israel's Retreat Plan

AIPAC Sponsored Secret Maps Of Israeli Expulsion Plans
Israel National News
12/30/2011
Based on article in Arutz Sheva by David Bedein

Commenting in Arutz Sheva Dec 30, investigative reporter David Bedein reported the existance of the above unknown retreat maps. The maps are were put together by Israel to give to AIPAC, it's lobbying organization in Washington. AIPAC gave the map to its sister site: "The Washington Institute".

What is The Washington Institute Of Near East Policy?
Wiki defines the Washington Institute as a Pro-Peace AIPAC creation.
Perhaps using the old British regional name: "Near East" instead of "Middle East" is a romantic throwback to a bygone colonial era? A time where one imagines Lawrence of Arabia types running around on camels to save the Middle East from itself?
There is much speculation about the name, but not about its mission.

Definately a Pro-Peace organization, Washington Institute For Near East Policy seems to be a fancy way of packaging the Land-for-Peace Process as something "romantic" to America's Jewish community. Perhaps even "scientifically correct." AIPAC deals with the politicians, WINEP deals with American Jews.
Does one follow the other? Could be. Apparently, AIPAC feels that policy in Washington towards Israel is based on Jewish voter opinion. AIPAC's mission has always been to affect Jewish voter outlook in favor of Israel's policies. In this way, the Jewish voter is now "informed" and votes for politicians who espouse their AIPAC-manufactured views.

Stamped: "Made In AIPAC"?
"The Washington Institute for Near East Policy (WINEP) is a think tank based in Washington, D.C. focused on United States foreign policy in the Middle East. It was established by the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) in 1985. The institute's mission statement states that it seeks "to advance a balanced and realistic understanding of American interests in the Middle East." The group is often described as being pro-Israel."

In March, 2005, Israeli government minister Yuli Edelstein made an appearance at the Alon Shvut Community Center in Gush Etzion. There he told the audience that "the February 20, 2005 retreat decision of the Israeli government does not apply only to Gush Katif and to the four small Jewish communities of Samaria.

Edelstein warned that:
"The Israeli government's decision is to "redraw" areas of Jewish residency. This has been done in almost all of the areas that Israel acquired in the aftermath of the 1967 war."

63 Additional Jewish Communities To Be Destroyed?
According to Bedein, the new map approved by the Israeli government was immediately posted on the website of the propeace "Washington Institute for Near East Policy". It is posted there to this day for all American government officials to peruse. This retreat map shows an additional 63 Jewish communities that Israel plans to dismantle. This appears to be a decision that Israeli has already made back in or before 2005.

Jewish communities slated for destruction under this edict are spread throughout Samaria, Judea, Hebron and the entire Jordan Valley. If you go to the National Geographic Atlas, these appear as parts of the “west bank”. It is felt that this alludes to the west bank of the Jordan River. (Ed note: The map seems to be composed of google satelite maps) (for other similar maps see the article above)

Here is that map: See Map

The Israeli government retreat map has never been posted or discussed in the Israeli public domain – not in the media, not in the Knesset and not in the current Israeli government. (Ed note: Golan is missing from this map)

Rumors abound that Israel is about to order the IDF to implement the next stages of the February 20, 2005 Israel government retreat decision , beginning with small outposts, leaving most people under the assumption that the government of Israel does not intend to destroy any more than a few hill top communities.

However, the February 20th, 2005 retreat decision empowers the Israeli Security Establishment to implement surrender almost all of Samaria, Judea, Hebron and the entire Jordan Valley to an enemy entity.
An entity which remains at war with the state and Israel.[3]

Israeli Police Intimidate Organizers of Gush Katif Museum Dinner in NY

by Eli Zalmanowitz
Feb 15, 2012

Israeli Police Upset Rabbi Wolpo Rewards Soldiers For Disobeying Orders To Remove Jews From The Land
Rabbi Wolpo, who was hauled in by Israeli police for questioning last Thursday.

Many feel that Wolpo was summoned in response to events that took place over a year ago, just as preparations for this month’s Gush Katif Museum Dinner in New York happened to be nearing completion. Rabbi Shalom Dov Wolpo, a leading figure in the struggle for preserving the integrity of the land of Israel, who is presently in the midst of last-minute preparations for the Gush Katif Museum dinner in New York on February 22, was summoned by the Israeli police for questioning last Thursday.

His interrogator showed him a video clip of a ceremony in Jerusalem over a year ago, with prominent Rabbis and Knesset members present. It showed Rabbi Wolpo presenting a “Hero of Israel” certificate, together with 26,000 New Shekels, to a soldier’s parents.

The soldier, at a previous initiation ceremony held at the Western Wall to swear in new IDF recruits, had led a group of soldiers recruits in raising a banner proclaiming that they swore to protect the Jewish state and its people, but not to evict Jews from their homes. For this courageous act he was sentenced to 26 days in military jail.

When any soldier is jailed for such acts, the Museum awards his parents 1000 New Shekels for every day of his jail sentence – “as a sign of esteem for their merit of having raised such children who are prepared to sacrifice themselves for the people and land of Israel,” as Rabbi Wolpo says.

The interrogator informed Rabbi Wolpo that he is under suspicion of encouraging soldiers to disobey orders, a crime liable to heavy punishment.

Rabbi Wolpo declared that he intends to continue on this path, because it is inconceivable that a young person initiated into the IDF at the Western Wall with an oath to protect his people and homeland, should later be compelled by his commanders to transgress that oath by aiding the enemy’s battle against Jews faithful to their homeland.

“I’m not encouraging disobedience to orders,” declared Rabbi Wolpo to the police investigator.

“I’m encouraging soldiers to follow the order of G-d, who gave the entire land of Israel to the Jewish people and commanded us to settle every part of it. Disobeying orders are those trying to please the enemy by advocating establishment of a terror state in the heart of the Holy Land. We already see the results of that policy, following the expulsion of thousands of Jews from Gush Katif and northern Samaria – a senseless act that has already brought loss of life and limb to hundreds of Jews from missiles fired from the territory of Gush Katif, and that has only distanced us ever further away from peace!”

“Do you have anything to add?” asked the interrogator as he concluded his questioning. “Yes,” replied Rabbi Wolpo. “From this interrogation chamber, I want to call on all our dear brethren who are soldiers to refuse any such order that is so clearly illegal!” Bearing in mind that this summons was issued over a year since the original award ceremony, some have raised suspicions that its odd timing was intended to intimidate the organizers of the Gush Katif Museum’s dinner in New York, warning them not to use the dinner to speak out against the government’s policies of concessions and evictions from settler outposts. Usually reliable sources have informed us that the dinner’s impressive gallery of speakers – including respected diplomat John Bolton, influential media personality Glenn Beck, and renowned Jewish entertainer Jackie Mason, who will all speak for preserving the integrity of the land of Israel and against concessions and expulsions – is unnerving for those close to Israel’s government, who still believe in the now bankrupted solution of “two states for two peoples.” In any case, many Israel government ministers and prominent Knesset members have already given their blessing to the gathering, and according to sources close to the museum, their good wishes will be shown and heard at the dinner.

Rabbi Yehoshua Hecht: "If you consider yourself a Chassid – you will certainly support the Gush Katif Museum"

by Rabbi Yehoshua S Hecht - Shliach and Director of Chabad of Norwalk
26 Shvat 5772 (19.02.2012)

Where will you be this Wednesday Eve?
I hope you will be at the Evening of Support for the banished Jews of Gush Katif taking place at the Razag in Crown Heights and let them know that we care about them and that we will never forget their sacrifice and love of Eretz Yisrael and the Jewish people ● If you consider yourself a devoted disciple of the Rebbe – you will certainly find the time and the finances to support this important cause ● A Call to Action by Rabbi Yehoshua S. Hecht, President Rabbinical Council of Connecticut ●

Good Judgments are from Mt. Sinai
Our weekly Torah reading begins with the words V’eila HaMishpotim - And these are the judgments you shall place before them. (Exodus 21:1) The operative word is the connecting Hebrew letter vov. As Rashi the great biblical commentator notes, wherever the Hebrew word “Eila- these” is stated it cuts off the preceding sections from what follows. However, the term “V’eila and- these” acts as a continuation to the preceding.

The preceding section of the Torah containing the Ten Commandments are apparently given at Mt. Sinai so too we are to acknowledge that all of the judgment laws enumerated in this week’s Torah reading were also given and revealed at Mt. Sinai.

613 Commandments - Divided into Three
Mishpotim – judgments are basic to reason and logic. As opposed for example to the commandments of shatnez -prohibition of wearing a garment woven with wool and linen or the laws of kashrus which are Chukim - divine decrees that defy rational explanation. The third category of commandment is called Aidot- testimonials. These are the Mitzvah commandments that mark our history such as Passover or Sukkoth or Shavuot that marks the receiving of the Torah at Mt. Sinai. We would never on our come up with a ritual to eat Matzah on Passover or eat our meals in a booth for Sukkoth, unless of course, these ritual observances mark an historical event and serve as a reenactment and testimonial and witness to these events in our People’s history.

The laws of acquisitions and commerce, torts, damages and all areas of human interaction are mostly found in the area of Mishpotim judgments which are identified as civil-law. Why did the Torah find it important to emphasize that these logical and civil commandments be based on revelation at Sinai.

After all human logic dictates that this is the moral and proper way of conduct, so why the emphasis that these judgments were given at Sinai? We would follow these laws of conduct on our own because they make sense and are dictated by logic. Why the need for recognizing a ‘higher power’ when human logic alone would suffice?

The Answer is found in Current Events
The push for acceptance of Alternative Lifestyles by society at large and the heated discussion in support of the reinterpretation of the word Marriage are a good example of why we need to recognize that even civil-law has its roots and support in the Torah.

Many well meaning people in their effort to confer legitimacy on gay unions as being legitimate marriage are disconnecting the foundation of family values from its nascent beginnings, namely, the Torah. Much of our civilization is actually based upon biblical ethics that have stood the test of time. Family values are values because they are from the Torah and help to maintain the family and strengthen community life.

The Illogical dressed as Logic and the Suffering Caused to Thousands
In Israel too, the disengagement from Gaza and the displacement of over ten thousand Jewish people from their thriving communities were based on logic devoid of Torah and Jewish law as codified in the code of Jewish law. As such it made sense to uproot these communities for political expediency.

However had the Israelis also factored in the revealed logic given at Sinai and Jewish law that is based on Sinai, they would have been able to overcome the blandishments of the EU and the empty promises of peace by their menacing neighbors.

Now what we have is the reality of a terrorist haven for launching kassams and sophisticated rocket bombs from the very area of what were once the thriving and nurturing communities of Gush Katif.

The point of all this is to convey that the propensity of humanity is to at times to make the unacceptable and illogical as being logical and acceptable. The beauty and elegant truth of the Torah is that even the sensible and the logical will never become just that -- a construct of the human mind alone.

Torah in its profundity, as being the wisdom of the Creator, protects and nurtures the most important aspects of human dignity and endeavors -- for all time and for all places. Aren’t we lucky to have even our logical commandments blessed by the Torah! Indeed good judgments come from Sinai.

Action Speaks Louder than Words
So, where will you be this Wednesday Eve? I hope you will be at the Evening of Support for the banished Jews of Gush Katif taking place at the Razag in Crown Heights and let them know that we care about them and that we will never forget their sacrifice and love of Eretz Yisrael and the Jewish people. We must let them know that we recognize the injustice perpetrated against them and that our support of the Gush Katif museum and philanthropic center is crucial in getting the attention of the Jewish people, thus helping to make sure that no new disengagements take place.

If you consider yourself a devoted disciple of the Rebbe – you will certainly find the time and the finances to support this important cause.

Chabad Of Mitzpei Yitzhar

New Chabad Yeshiva Established As Community Arises From The Dust

Chabad of Mitzpeh Yitzhar by Aliza Basmenachem

Chabad Spirit Raises Mitzpei Yitzhar From The Dust
Just a decade ago Itzik Sandroi established the "Mitzpe Yitzhar" outpost, near the community of Yizhar.

When Itzik Sandroi escorts us on his hill, he explains the strategic military importantance of this hill.

"We protect the Shfelah and Tel Aviv with our bodies," he explains.
"Yitzhar overlooks Wadi Qana. A known area where terrorists travel from, going to Emmanuel, the Shfelah and Tel Aviv. One of the best known terrorists - Nassar Asa′iida- was captured by observations from Mitzpeh Yitzhar.

IDF security thanked us, telling us that if we were not here, there would be attacks in central Israel, G-d forbid.

Where we are and our position protects Yitzhar from attack."

Yeshiva in a box- Just add water!
Until the last destruction in Mitzpeh Yitzhar, Itzik had a large goat pen.
When everything was destroyed, they worked to rebuild. they are already expanding again. As the posuk says of Pharoah: "As much as the Egyptians would afflict the Jews, so much more did they multiply and so did they gain strength."

Itzik is planning a large dairy, diesel oils manufacturing plant and a shooting range.

"I set up this hilltop outpost after Sa-Nur was destroyed. I brought with me a new nucleus and a few fellows who weren′t in an educational setting at the time. Over time, it became clear that the yeshiva will have to move to Yitzhar as the security situation was too difficult and the roads were so dangerous. With the students help, we pitched a tent and put up a little house from building blocks, and we lived like this for a year. During this time, we tried to develop the place establishing Torah classes and Chasidic farbrengens."

Sandroi′s home was destroyed twice already in the last decade, but he′s not one to despair... "Two weeks before my wedding, they wrecked my house but the wedding blessing of "Binyan adei ad" "Your house should be an eternal edifice" still stands." says Itzik smiling. Truly, "Be Zechut Isha". (in the merit of ones wife)

The latest destruction of Mitzpeh Yitzhar earlier this year, simply fueled the detemination of her residents even more. To them it brings home the so necessary need for the establishment of a firm Jewish presence in Israel's captured areas. Areas captured after Israeli was so cruelly set upon by overwhelmingly greater armies and armanent. An armament all were sure would finish the young Jewish Land.

Little did anyone expect that the Jews would put up such a firm resistance with so little land to fight from and no help from other nations. Instead they put their faith in the One Above to help them. And as in times past, their valiant efforts were miraculously rewarded over superior arms and training. So too today, their children carry on their traditions.

Chanuka miracle on the hill - Mitzpeh Yitzhar's newest Chalutznik
"We came to expel darkness", says Rabbi Sandroi.
Every day of Chanuka, Rabbi Sandroi joins with Chabad of West Samaria and Rabbi Yehuda Rubin for non-stop Chabad outreach. Donuts and menorahs lighting up the darkness of this untamed region. Even soldiers and police, today your friend, tomorrow denizens of destruction, are visited and inspired about their Jewish heritage. A contradiction Chabad is slowly turning around. "Every Jew is really on the Rebbe's side" Sandroi explains. "What Jew wants to make desolate the Land of Israel? Its a contradition in terms". Yet seemingly, Israel's government would rather Jews should forget. Israel claims its actions and agents are "democratic" in their destruction of Jewish life in the Holy Land. Israel's citizen's do not agree.

The story is not yet over.
In the midst of the Chanukah party Itzik′s went into labor. She gets into the car leaving for the hospital with her mother. It is a preterm labor. Brought on no doubt from the stress of living life under such "wild-west" conditions.

In the middle of candle lighting at the outpost of Tel Ares comes the news of the birth of a baby girl. A new generation is born. They call her: "Chaya Mushkah" after the Lubavitcher Rebbe's wife daughter of Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok Shneerson.

Even the soldiers are moved. They break ranks and join the dancing with Itzik.
Happy for him and happy for his family and their courage to go on. Happy too that he makes their job easier in making Israel a safer place.

An inspiration they will take with them when they finish their national service.
They will move to India, New York, Hong Kong, Thailand and perhaps even, Tel Aviv. As they make families they will remember their good friend Itzik and his wife who they met on this desolate hill.
And of course they won't forget the doughnuts.

Lt. Col. Dr. Mordechai Kedar To Speak At Chabad of Venice

Sunday Chabad Center of Venice Florida is hosting lecture on Arab Israeli Conflict

"Since there are unfortunately Israelis deliberately ignoring the danger of a two-state solution, so American Jews are not against it."

Where:
Chabad Jewish Center - 2169 S. Tamiami Trail, Venice
When:
Sunday Night Feb. 19, 8 pm - (Doors open at 7:30 pm)

Featured on al-Jazeera TV, Dr. Mordechai Kedar was interviewed and in the process, defends the Jewishness of Jerusalem as the Jewish capital for over 3000 years.

With so many other potential dangers from Iran, Lebanon and Gaza amid power struggles of Hamas and Fatah, many Jews overlook dangers of the two-state solution, he said when he spoke last year.

"If we — Israelis, Americans and other Westerners — have a better understanding of the characteristics of Arab societies, we can better deal with problems connected to them," Kedar said. "

If the British had better understood Arab culture in Afghanistan and Iraq, they would never have established these two states as they did. They are conglomerates of various ethnic groups, tribes, religious groups and sects, which have never lived in peace with each other. Today, since we have a better understanding of the nature of these societies, solutions which fit these societies can be more easily found and implemented on the ground."

"Israelis, right and left alike, are united in describing Iran, Hezbollah and Hamas as dangers, while they are divided about the solution with the Palestinians," Kedar said.

"Since there are unfortunately enough Israelis who deliberately ignore the dangers of the two-state solution, American Jews who are not enough informed cannot be against it."

Through appearances like the one in Venice and which he previously gave on Capitol Hill, Kedar wants to change that. Those who have heard his ideas previously said they look forward to his upcoming address and hearing more about solving world issues from across the faith spectrum.

Lt. Col. Dr. Mordechai Kedar (Ph.D. Bar-Ilan U.) has Served for 25 years in IDF military intelligence specializing in Syria, Arab political discourse, Arab mass media, Islamic groups and Israeli Arabs.

Middle East expert to share views at Chabad of Venice

"Since there are Israelis deliberately ignoring the danger of a two-state solution, American Jews are not against it."
By STEVE HEISLER
Correspondent
Monday, February 13, 2012

An international expert on Israel and the Arab states will brings his message of effecting peaceful change through understanding when he visits Venice. Mordechai Kedar is an Israeli academic and military intelligence specialist who spoke to a highly receptive crowd a year ago at Chabad Jewish Center.

Next week, the lecturer at Bar-Ilan University returns to describe his "Eight-State Solution" for Gaza and surrounding areas, explaining why a "Two-State Solution" is as dangerous as the rockets being fired in the hostile region.

To Kedar, gaining knowledge of tribal differences makes more sense than trying to foist democracy on an entire region.

"If we — Israelis, Americans and other Westerners — have a better understanding of the characteristics of Arab societies, we can better deal with problems connected to them," Kedar said. "If the British understood better the social situation in Afghanistan and Iraq, they would never have established these two states as they did, conglomerates of ethnic groups, tribes, religious groups and sects, which can never live in peace with each other. Today, since we have a better understanding of the nature of these societies, solutions which fit these societies can be more easily found and implemented on the ground."

With so many other potential dangers from Iran, Lebanon and Gaza amid power struggles of Hamas and Fatah, many Jews overlook dangers of the two-state solution, he said.

Dr. Adam Agran, a chiropractor who is Jewish, recalled seeing Kedar speak three years ago when he predicted the revolt in Egypt and the strengthening influence of the Muslim Brotherhood in Libya and Tunisia. Kedar's take on Afghanistan hit home for Agran.

"He puts everything in perspective," Agran said. "He said it's been run by tribal warlords for centuries and we're trying to make it one giant 'Kumbaya' democracy."

In Gaza, Agran worked in an infirmary in early 2009 and returned later that year to help build a security fence. He said Kedar's reasoning is sensible and involves specific problem solving instead of broad policy plans.

"People who want to learn what's going on and how to solve some problems and what the future may look like will go and listen to him," he said. "Mordechai gives you insight, a plan and a solution. His insight is usually more indicative of what will work; it's more common sense."

Others, such as Dan Rubin of Venice, a high school history teacher who thinks Kedar's ideas may not work, give him credit for suggesting an option few have considered.

"Politically it wouldn't work, but realistically it might," Rubin said. "We don't view that part of the world as being under the rightful control of tribes. Like he wrote in his papers, we tried everything else, why don't we try this?"

Rubin, who also has practiced law in Ohio, visited Israel in July and was struck by the proximity of the settlements and camps in Gaza. He said Kedar's background, as an internationally known Middle Eastern analyst on site, gives him a legitimacy shared by few.

As he stressed the region's geography and its perils that may be hard to comprehend by Americans who have not visited, Rubin mentioned a hotel with sign for a bomb shelter to illustrate the ever-present danger.

"We don't understand as Americans these constant intimidations and threats of having missiles fired over and over," he said. "That's the psychological part Americans don't understand."

David Blood, who has a doctor of divinity degree and pastors Port Charlotte's New Hope Christian Fellowship, recognized Kedar's speech topic as an issue that transcends religion.

Blood has never seen Kedar, but he plans to attend and urge others in his 110-person fellowship to come along. As a knowledge-seeking Christian, he has traveled to Israel twice and recently took a six-week course on Judaism at Chabad.

"I think Christians need to understand the deep connection we have with the Jewish faith and Israel itself," he said. "We have far more in common than we really understand."

Patriot For Israel

Moshe Segal

Chabad Shleimus HaAretz History Section
Moshe Tzvi Segal was born 1904 in Poltava, Russia. He taught Torah in yeshivot that had to go "underground" following the Russian Revolution. He made aliya with his family in the 1920s and registered as the seventh member of Beitar in Eretz Israel. Moshe was a member of the Hagana in the mid-1920s but was ejected for agitating on behalf of a Jewish state.

Organizes Tisha BeAv March To The Kotel - 1929
In 1929, Moshe organized the march to the Kotel (the Western Wall) on Tisha B'Av. During the Arab riots and pogroms of that year he defended Tel Aviv as a member of the Nationalist Hagana, and later helped negotiate the formation of the Irgun Zvai Leumi (IZL). He was also a founder of the Brit Habirionim.

Later Moshe went on to become a member of the Irgun High Command (when Yaacov Meridor was Commander in Chief), and later he joined the Lechi (Stern Group) and was also national commander for a religious semi-underground called: the Brit Hashmonaim. But what gained Moshe Segal notoriety amongst the British and fame amongst the early fighters for Israel was a small but big incident.

First To Defy British Ban On Shofar Blowing At Kotel
The story goes like this:
In 1930, the British in partnership with the Mufti of Jerusalem (who was later the good friend of Hitler and an uncle to Yasser Arafat) came up with a number of humiliating anti-Semitic laws for those who would come to pray at Judaism’s holiest site. At that time there was no plaza in the area in front of the Western Wall, just a narrow passageway behind which were Arab houses. The Arab owners complained to the British who forbade Jews to bring benches, tables or an ark for the Torah to the site. Despite the fact that Jews were the majority population in Jerusalem at that time!

The new rules restricted Jews from blowing the shofar at the Western Wall (Kotel HaMaravi). Any Jew praying had to do it silently, so as not to antagonize the Arabs. Public Torah reading was not allowed; to read the Torah one had to go to a synagogue in the Jewish Quarter. Since blowing shofar was out of the question, so Yom Kippur of 1930, the worshipers who prayed at the Wall that Yom Kippur wondered anxiously what would happen when the time came to sound the shofar by Neilah, the holiest prayer of the whole year. This was no question for Moshe Segal who had survived beatings by the vicious Yevseksia the anti religious Jewish Communist arm of the GPU (later the KGB). It was unthinkable in his mind that Yom Kippur could end without the sounding of the shofar! In the Jewish Homeland Yet.

Approaching the rabbi of the Wall, Rabbi Yitzhak Orenstein, appointed by Va'ad Leumi (a Jewish quasi-governmental organization), Moshe asked Rav Orenstein to give him a shofar. Not wanting trouble with the British police, he refused. But Moshe was insistent. Moving away from the Wall in the direction of the nearest prayer house without speaking Rabbi Orenstein motioned with his eyes to a drawer. Following the rabbi's gaze, Moshe opened the drawer, took out a shofar and stuck it under his shirt. Since Moshe didn’t pray with a tallit and was afraid he would be found out he stood alongside a married a man and shared his tallit. In this way the shofar stayed hidden until after the closing prayer of Neilah. He then pulled the tallis way over his head closed his eyes and blew the last set of notes to usher in the new year. The “criminal” was immediately located and arrested. Like wildfire the news got around Eretz Yisrael, reaching the ears of Chief Rabbi Avraham Isaac Kook. Immediately, Rav Kook who had not broken his fast, declared that he would not eat until the young man Segal was able to break his fast. Rav Kook called the British High Commissioner and asked that Moshe Segal be released. The British complied with the request at around midnight.

From then on, for many years until 1948, shofar blowing at the Wall to mark the end of Yom Kippur became an annual tradition for Moshe who would train two young men to blow the shofar.

Because they were different young men each year, the British did not know their identities, and therefore could not apprehend them in advance. (see video for stories from the other recruits Moshe got and their stories)
This video shows a number of people Moshe recruited to blow shofar from 1931 until 1948 and their stories of courage. Continued: (To Read Whole Article - Click Here)

Writing To Protest Land For Peace

Activism you can do with your pen

“It is impossible to know what the outcome would be (in Eretz Yisrael) if even one person would protest. All the more so when there are, thank G-d, quite a few protesting! Some are protesting behind the scenes, others publicly, some in Yiddish, others in other languages, etc. If people were not protesting, who knows what the situation would be like now?”
(Motzoi Shabbos Breishis 5739 - 1978)

Last Thursday January 22, a unique group met in Crown Heights for the very first time. A group dedicated to utilizing their talents in writing to save Jews from Israel’s upcoming disengagement from West Bank, Golan and Jerusalem.

This novel idea was the brainchild of by Mrs. Aliza Karp author of “Banished” a novel based on real life stories describing Gush Katif’s final days.

The way this came about was thanks to a rally in Manhattan earlier this year, protesting Israel’s continued plans to withdraw echoing what the Rebbe said in 1979: “It is irrelevant whether or not protesting will be effective…It is forbidden by Jewish law to remain silent in matters of life and death!” (20th Av 5739).

A protest rally is a rah-rah session that brings like-minded people together. Bringing press attention and publicity and giving sparks of excitement to others. Aliza felt that something even more powerful could be done “between the rallies”.
So was borne the “Activism by Writing” workshop.

Activism that protests by focusing Internet readership on the Rebbe’s ideas for peace. On a forum reaching tens of thousands of people. These tens of thousands in turn can spiral into the hundreds of thousands within hours spanning the globe.

Witness the effect of last year’s Arab Facebook protests. It was staggering what they were able to achieve in the largely third world Arab countries. This is the power of writing today as a form of protest.

Now imagine if we could harness that same energy for positive change in Eretz Yisrael? Many on line papers have RSS Feeds, which put a sites material automatically out to hundreds of sites each with their own readership and email groups. Aliza, as a woman found this to be the perfect arena to use her talent for writing as behind the scenes protest.

Here by attacking and discussing even the most misrepresented issue, one is now given an opening to stick in the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s live-saving logic.

One Israeli woman told me she did this for a long time on Hebrew comments and forums in the period of Gush Katif. While it burned her out seeing Gush Katif go down, but she found it to be quite effective. Lets face it; it burned all of us out to see Gush Katif fall. But perhaps it would have been worse? Like the Rebbe says above: “If people were not protesting, who knows what the situation would be like now?”

Internet Protest Places
The Internet provides numerous outlets to protest. Editorials, writing to authors, Facebook and comments areas of articles on peace by disengagement.

Who hasn’t answered an obnoxious article on Israel now and again? How many people find ourselves defending the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s position in emails, comments, columns and private notes. Correcting mistaken points so they are in line with the Jewish obligation to prevent danger to Jewish life in the Holy Land? Isn’t showing the blind person the hole he is walking into, saving his life?

With this workshop Aliza conceived of a format to guide people to put holes into the media’s destruction of the Jewish right to live in the Holy Land. At the same time one can tactfully shift the blame where it belongs on Israel for continuing land concessions even after it is shown it brings more terror.

Also briefly discussed were common confusions: Whom are we protesting; What are we protesting for; What do we wish to motivate Israel to do; What messages and slogans can we use that are Lubavitchly appropriate?

Something had to be said about protesting Israel and not America and not Radical Islam. How the Rebbe’s main message is of safety for Jews first and not AIPAC’s Zionist messages calling for creation of a Palestinian terror state. There is no need for giving anything says the Rebbe, because the Arabs will accept peace without concessions. It is hard to write defending points, if we don’t know why we stand for what we stand for!

Since the main point of the evening was writing editorials, Aliza spent time on points such as using certain forms of language and the need to write respectfully so people will take you seriously and your articles will be accepted again in the future. She had people practice writing critiques of articles she brought in. Aliza has been very involved with protesting for Israel for many years and she has many stories, which we all found interesting.

Aliza discussed the uses of being an activist on the Internet and showed us a number of examples of her own accomplishments. She told stories of her successes. The point is, to make a positive connection with a publication so that they will continue to take your work.

The session was well attended in the Moshiach Media Center a project of Rabbi Yankel Koncepolski. Surprisingly, only men showed up-

The project is especially ideal for girls who are moved by the events unfolding in Eretz Yisrael and are looking for an outlet to protest in a very big way. The program is being offered to local yeshivas on a class-by-class basis.

Soldiers Equipped With Weapons & Tools March On Mitzpe Yitzhar

Footage recorded by Shomron Citizens Committee shows soldiers razing Mitzpeh Yitzhar
By Yair Altman, Ynet News
12/15/2011
Hundreds of police officers, IDF soldiers and Civil Administration officers arrived at the illegal West Bank outpost of Mitzpe Yitzhar in the early hours of Thursday morning and demolished two structures. Footage recorded by the Shomron Settlers' Committee documented the security forces marching toward the outpost in a long column, equipped with weapons and tools. Outpost founder Yitzhak Sandro explained why the forces did not encounter any resistance from the settlers: "Our aim, as people who follow the ways of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, is to unite all Jews. On the one hand we believe in settlements and on the other hand we bring people closer together."

Sandro said the residents of the outpost danced in front of the soldiers during the demolition and tried to remain in good spirits. "We believe there is no such thing as destruction, and so what we witnessed here today was not destruction – it was a regression for the sake of progression," he said

In second article by Ynet on the destruction of the outpost by Omri Efraim today, IDF forces razed two structures in the West Bank outpost of Mitzpe Yitzhar in the early hours of Thursday morning. Hundreds of police officers, IDF soldiers and Civil Administration officers arrived at the outpost and demolished the structures. The razing did not encounter any resistance by the settlers.

According to the settlers, stones, nails and spikes were placed on the road leading to the outpost in order to disrupt the forces' movements, but to no avail.

US Jewish Right Speaks Out Against Destruction of Givat Aryeh

Change in US Jewish Zionist groups’ policy? NY demo against gov’t destruction in Itamar.

By Fern Sidman, A7 New York

12/13/2011, 2:12 AM
Although it has always been the policy of right leaning American Jewish Zionist groups to avoid criticizing Israeli government policy in public, it seems that recent actions by the Netanyahu government are beginning to erode that policy, already severely shaken by the Gush Katif disengagement during PM Ariel Sharon’s term of office.

On Sunday morning, December 11, a large gathering of Concerned Americans gathered at the Israeli Consulate in New York to vocally express their protest at the recent decision by the Israeli government to demolish the community of Givat Aryeh.

Organized by Americans For A Safe Israel (AFSI), its executive director Helen Freedman who just returned from Israel on the organization’s bi-annual Chizuk mission, told those gathered, “Just two weeks ago, we celebrated the dedication of a new Torah scroll that was presented to the residents of Itamar and Givat Aryeh in the Shomron by its sponsor, AFSI member Jack Ross. Now we are totally disheartened to learn that the destruction of this community was orchestrated by a decision of the Netanyahu/Barak government.”

Calling the decision to bulldoze the synagogue and the homes of those residents in the Givat Aryeh community a “craven, cowardly and sacrilegious act”, Ms. Freedman declared, “It is shameful and abhorrent that an ostensibly Jewish government in Israel would even consider destroying a holy Jewish synagogue, along with the homes and possessions belonging to its most loyal citizens.”

Ms. Freedman added, “I had invited many rabbis and mainstream Jewish leaders to attend this demonstration. Many refused; saying that they didn't believe in criticizing Israel in public. I responded by saying, ‘If your beloved is about to walk off a cliff, wouldn’t you reach out to restrain him?’”

In a private interview with Arutz Sheva, Ms. Freedman said, “I believe it is because of our great love for Israel that we venture out together on a bitterly cold Sunday morning in December to denounce actions that are suicidal for our Jewish homeland. It is dishonest and un-Jewish to shake off that responsibility while pretending that it is in the best interest of Israel when we know it is self-destructive. As we approach the Chanukah season, we would do well to remember the immortal words of the brave Matityahu who said, ‘All who are faithful to G-d, follow me!’”

Demonstrators held aloft Israeli flags along with signs and banners saying, “Build Jewish Homes and Schools: Don't Bulldoze Them”, “A Two-State Solution is Indefensible”, and “Save Judea and Samaria from Destruction”.

Among the speakers at the protest were Pastor James David Manning (see right) of the ATLAH World Missionary Church in Harlem who was joined by a contingent of his congregants. As an outspoken supporter of Israel and a fervent Zionist, Pastor Manning said, “The Bible states quite clearly that the land of Israel belongs to the Jewish people for eternity and no one has a right to take that away. My congregants and I unequivocally support the Zionist cause and as a Christian member of the clergy I remind everyone that whoever blesses the people of Israel shall be blessed but those who curse Israel shall be cursed forever.”

Echoing these sentiments was Raanan Isseroff, a representative of the Chabad-Lubavitch movement who reminded the protestors of the words of the Lubavitcher Rebbe who said that, “The land of Israel belongs to the people of Israel and is non-negotiable. It is G-d’s gift to the Jewish people and there is no human being who can alter that fact.”

With great emotion, AFSI member Jack Ross (right) who drove down from Chabad of Rochester recalled that the Torah he had presented to the people of Givat Aryeh had been purchased and restored by him in memory of his parents from Lodz, Poland who had survived the Holocaust. “I dedicated this special Torah to the memory of the murdered members of the Fogel family in Itamar and tragically, it was confiscated by the IDF on December 1 when both the community and synagogue of Givat Aryeh were destroyed.”

In a powerful display of symbolism designed to graphically depict the devastating destruction that was wrought in Givat Aryeh, both Mr. Ross and long-time Jewish activist Charlie Bernhaut, held up a Torah scroll (allowed as it was one which was deemed halakhically pasul), to represent the assault on Torah-true communities in Judea and Samaria by the Israeli government. Mr. Bernhaut enumerated the names of the communities that appeared in the Torah which was on display and told the protestors that “these are the very same communities that the Arabs claim belong to them. It is clear that we get nowhere when we attempt to appease our enemies.”

David Jacobs, formerly of Staten Island and now a citizen of Israel who resides there with his family, spoke of his own daughter’s Bat Mitzvah which took place in the Elei Sinai synagogue in the former Gush Katif region. Recalling the pain he felt when that synagogue was destroyed as well by the Israeli government when the residents of the 21 communities of Gush Katif were expelled in 2005, Mr. Jacobs outlined many of the flaws existing in the Israeli government today, and the difficulty Jews have in publicly speaking out about them.

Other activists such as Brooklyn resident Robin Ticker, Manhigut Yehudit spokesman Rob Muchnick, veteran AFSI volunteer Charlotte Wahle and Bob Unger, all delivered moving remarks about the crucial need to “recognize the fraudulence of the Arab claim to the land of Israel” and added that any discussions of “legal” and “illegal settlements” in the land of Israel are a misnomer considering that “we recognize that the entire land of Israel belongs to the Jewish people.” Concluding the protest was professional singer and activist Bob Unger who led the protestors in an emotional rendition of “God Bless America”.

House of Representatives Alan Clemmons At Gush Katif Museum

US Rep Visits Gush Katif Museum in Jerusalem to show solidarity with Jews In Israel

By Shalom Abramowitz
16 Kislev 5772 (12.12.2011)

SC Representative Alan Clemmons (R) from South Carolina visited the Gush Katif Museum in Jerusalem as part of his visit to Israel to show solidarity with the Jews of the Land of Israel.

During his visit to the museum he pointed out the obvious reality, that appeasement and territorial concessions will not bring peace.

"The Jewish nation has suffered a lot from the failed peace attempts," he added.

The visit is part of Rep. Clemmons recent trip to Israel by special invitation from Israeli MK Mr. Danny Danon. The trip is in recognition of a national United States initiative that began in South Carolina with a resolution authored by Clemmons and passed unanimously by the South Carolina House of Representatives. The resolution, which has become known as the 'South Carolina Stands With Israel Resolution', has resonated in state legislatures around the United States as an expression of the average American's gratitude for Israel's friendship and partnership with the U.S. over the past six decades. The resolution demonstrates the respect that Americans have for Israel's right to settle, govern and defend all of Israel's land.

Clemmons commented, "I was surprised that our expression of support for Israel from the small state of South Carolina received so much attention in Israel. I have come to understand that our resolution has given hope to Israel's citizens that the heart of the average American is with Israel!"
"To be invited to Israel to meet with MK Danon and other respected Israeli leaders is a great honor to me, personally, and to the citizens of South Carolina!”

Come Rally For Israel Sunday Dec 11
Rally Across From Israeli Consulate In Manhattan

Sunday Dec 11th at 11am in Manhattan, come join hundreds of New Yorkers protesting the Israeli government's recent destruction of the synagogue at Givat Aryeh and the confiscation of the communities Torah scrolls one of which was rescued from the Holocaust, restored and presented as a gift to the community November 15th of this year. Givat Aryeh was established by a group of brave Jewish pioneers, led by Rabbi Yedaya Shoham in response to the terrorist murder of the five members of the Fogel family in Itamar.

The rally is also in protest of additional planned upcoming demolitions in Givat HaUlpana in Bet-El, Givat Assaf, Amona, and additional demolitions of homes in Migron.

The uplifting story of the creation of Givat Aryeh descends into a tragic tale of demolition and disgrace.

On Dec. 1 AFSI (Americans For A Safe Israel) led by director Helen Friedman learned of the Israeli government's betrayal of its purpose and its people when it sent in a Destruction squad including Arabs, to demolish the newly established tent homes and the synagogue on the hilltop.

Speakers will include prominant Rabbanim shlit"a and other concerned community leaders.

Chabad was asked to join AFSI and the rally is endorsed by SOS-Israel and the Crown Heights Committee for Shleimus HaAretz. People are asked to please come and join in voicing concern over the putting of Eretz Yisrael's Jews in danger by continued talks to trade Land for Peace.

Please bring a lunch and protest signs protesting Israel's disregard for Jewish safety by giving away land.

The Rebbe spoke about need to protest and the mitzva to protest Israel's irresponsible foreign policies. Especially for Rabbanim to lead such protests and not remain silent. For more information about the Lubavitcher Rebbe's position on the Peace Process go to: Click Here.

Expert Mark Langfan Addresses Shluchim About Israel's Security Concerns
Expert On Israeli Security Explains Fallacies Of Israel's Peace Plan
Sunday Nov 27, 2011

New York Attorney Mark Langfan addressed shluchim who came from around the world to attend the annual Lubavitch conference of Shluchim.
Using diagrams and booklets of his own design, Mark clearly explained the great danger Israel has put itself into by persuing a peace that means brokering via land giveaways. Experienced in addressing very diverse crowds, whether on the floor of the senate, ZOA or the American military, Mark is considered the expert witness and is called upon by the State of Israel to give expert testimony to those who need to be convinced.

The Rabbonim and other important Chabad communal leaders attending yesterday did not need to be convinced. If anything, they feel the State of Israel has given up on its citizens and has sold them for a bowl of lentils to an enemy power.

Wondering what Marks agenda was, they were shocked to find he has none. An avid crusader against a country gone mad but using a medium that talks to his listeners, Mark has carved himself out a niche in the American Jewish community that leaves him many admirers for his aggressive yet unblaming attitude towards the whole issue.

Who dunnit? When it comes to the peace process, Mark is definately a One-State solution man. Without blaming anyone Mark cleverly uses his legal experience to brings across the key points of the issue. Then after listening to a description of what is being given away and what weapons are being smuggled in, so one is left with the realization that Israel cannot possibly be unaware of what is "going down". One is only left with a very uncomfortable truth.

Peace, as Israel is promoting it by given away land is a death trap.

Mark has done research and found that the weapons being brought in are called Ketuysha's. Cheap to produce. Cheap and easy to field, with a range of up to 19 miles (some claim 24 miles) and capable of being loaded with chemical and biological weapons, the conclusion one is left with is frightening.
Bringing credentialed proof that anyone can get off the internet, Mark brings reports from "Jaine's" military and from Israeli government sources themselves to testify to the truth of his arguments.

"Helping The Land Of Israel"

When: Sunday Nov 27, 2011 4:45pm
Where: Aishel Building Kingston Avenue

There are Shluchim who have the mistaken notion that Shleimus HaAretz is not connected to their Shlichus. Others think that their efforts will not have any effect on Israeli government policy decisions anyway, so why bother? Others think that getting involved Americas political powers or supporting AIPAC and other pro-Israel organizations is the way to do something positive. Still others feel that educating the public about an Islamic threat is the way to help. Others once did something and got burned out. Some feel that this is not the way of Chabad. Others mistakenly feel that the Lubavitcher Rebbe was against protesting the Peace Process.

This is your opportunity to learn all the answers to the above pressing questions and learn how to integrate Shleimus HaAretz into your shlichus and how to educate your mekuravim about one of the most pressing issues facing the Jewish community today!

Presidential Hopeful Rick Santorum: "There Are No Palestinians"

CNN

Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum explains to CNN reporter that there is no such thing as "Palestine" or "Palestinians". Israel is one and all the arabs living in the West Bank are Israelis. Mr. Santorum explained that the Arab claim to the area of the West Bank is as ludicrous as the notion that America should "return" New Mexico to the current Mexican Government.

The Shalit deal—disgraceful and deadly

Israeli government declares that soon it will exchange Gilad Shalit for 1000 convicted terrorists.
Saving a captive is one of the greatest Mitzvos in the Torah, but at what cost?
Article by Rabbi Yehoishophot Oliver
A-Farbrengen.Blogspot.Com
Sept 27, 2011

Saving a captive is one of the greatest Mitzvos in the Torah, but not when done in this way. With all due respect to Gilad Shalit's family, this “deal” is evil and obscene-

1. High risk of re-offense, G–d forbid: Letting loose convicted terrorists with blood on their hands endangers Jews who would, G–d forbid, be their next target. This has happened before countless times, and not even the most ardent advocate of this deal doubts will happen again this time. According Haaretz last week (click to see article), it is expected that sixty percent of such freed terrorists will commit more acts of terror. Now, this would be true if even one terrorist were to be released; all the more so in this case, when over a thousand are to be released? This amounts toto hundreds of stabbings, sniping attacks, or suicide bombings waiting to happen, G–d forbid.

2. Rewarding terror emboldens the enemy: When you surrender to terrorists, you show them that their acts of cold-blooded mass murder pay off. Israel's government should have treated this capture as an open act of war, going on the offensive by occupying the entire Gaza, executing terrorist prisoners, cutting off Gaza’s electricity, taking prominent Arab leaders captive, and so on, until Gilad was released. Instead, Israel's government has again shown the enemy that Jews are weak and cowardly. Abduction is now an effective method to achieve Land-for-Peace goals. Now that the Jews capitulated, the enemy knows it can safely continue such acts again, and again, and again, G–d forbid. This manipulating of Jews in power, ceding to their every demand, tremendously emboldens the enemy putting Jews in the Holy Land at terrible risk, G–d forbid.

3. Strikes fear into Jews: The whole philosophy of terror is to drive terror—fear—into the hearts of the target population. When those in leadership act out of fear, they in effect promote fear among those whom they were charged with protecting. Here, in the case of Gilad Shalits release for 1000 terrorists, those released will go on to become community hero's, bragging to their Arab brethren about their great “feats”, of daring-do murdering and wounding innocent Jewish civilians, thus inciting others to do likewise with even greater zeal. This increased danger and perception of Jewish vulnerability now creates a volatile atmosphere of low morale and fear amongst Jews around the world. Not only in Israel.

4. Destruction of deterrent power: Even once terrorists are in prison, they will know (as they have after past deals, and all the more so now) that it’s only a matter of time until their cohorts capture someone else and use that captive as a bargaining chip. This knowledge encourages them to commit more terror, secure that not only will they not be put to death when caught (which is what should be done), but they know as well that they will only have to sit a short time. (indeed, many of them boasted just that when they went in, and to our disgrace, their arrogant words proved correct).

5. Affront to families of victims: What about the many hundreds of grieving families of the victims of these prisoners? They were assured that their slain relatives’ murderers would never see the light of day. How will they feel now, knowing that not only were their loved ones not brought to true justice by being executed, but they are being set free? Why don’t these families at least have a say in these deals? And why were most of them not even politely informed of the court’s decision? (Ed's note: Gilad's father was the one who went on Chamas TV and )

6. Violation of Jewish law: Jewish law unequivocally forbids any deal of this kind, according to the principle of the Gemara[1] that Pikuach Nefesh, saving a life, does not override the prohibition against killing another Jew. Here is not the context to discuss this topic on a more technical level, but Jewish law explicitly prohibits a ransom of this kind.[2]

7. Warped Morality: The Midrash warns: “Whoever is kind to the cruel will end up being cruel to the kind.”[3] True, every Jew is priceless: “Whoever whoever saves a Jewish life, it is considered as if he saved an entire world.”[4] And yet the thought to release hundreds of vicious murderers for the sake of saving one Jew is warped morality; it is misplaced kindness and compassion that stems from Kelipah, the forces of impurity (see here and here). This is why Hashem gave us the Torah, which is called “a Torah of light,”[5] for it illuminates our way in this dark world, “a world of falsehood.”[6] In this context, Torah was vital for the Jews striving to free Gilad to approach to matter with moral clarity. Yes, they may have meant well, but without Torah as their anchor, they were bound to sink into a bottomless pit of moral confusion, doing harm when they sought so sincerely to do good. May they come to realize the foolishness of abandoning divine morality in favor of their own highly-limited intellects.

8. Makes A Mockery of the justice system: How is it that unrepentant mass murderers are let loose en masse, but criminals convicted of crimes incomparably less severe must do their time? And this complaint applies all the more with regard to Jews whose actions were perhaps misguided, but were reactions to attacks, motivated out of a worthy desire to protect Jews, such as those imprisoned for throwing rocks back at Arab youth who were throwing rocks at them, and the like.

9. Disgrace before the world community: Jews should be setting an example of proper behavior for all mankind—being a “light unto the nations.”[7] I cannot imagine any other country making such a disgraceful deal. Look at how America went and occupied Afghanistan as soon as it viewed it as a terrorist threat, and later on, Iraq. The world respects those who respect themselves. Such craven concessions as these lead the nations to look down on Jews in general, and greatly weakens the case of the Jewish people to live in their G–d-given Land.

10. No mercy on mass murderers! Lastly, I can only reiterate the Rebbe’s words (click here) warning the Israeli government to execute terrorists. a. This is this the punishment that these scum more than deserve; b. it deters further acts of terror; c. most importantly, it protects, or at least significantly decreases, the likelihood of Jews being abducted, because if there are no convicted murderers being held, there is no one to exchange (not that there will not be Arab criminals in prisons in the Holy Land, but their crimes will not be related to terror, and so there will be less of a desire on the part of the terror groups to free their comrades).

Mr. Netanyahu - Peace Talks Lead To UN Voting For Arab Terror State

Open letter From True Peace Director, Rabbi Mayer Schmukler
COLLive Sept 27, 2011

Wiki Leak of US Intelligence Cable from 2009 detailing how Netanyahu is seeking to give away land

Wilki Leak describing Mr. Netanyahu's willingness to give away Israeli Land. American intelligence cable from Feb 26, 2009 from the US Embassy in Tel Aviv reporting to Washington. To see original article in YNet News, click here. To see the original Wiki Leak Click Here

Rabbi Mayer Schmukler of TruePeace.org tells Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu the Lubavitcher Rebbe's opinion about the "Land for Peace" process

B"H
26th of Elul, 5771

Mr. Benjamin Netanyahu,

I write this letter with the hope that you will read it with an open heart and mind. Please do.

In your speech at the United Nations, you eloquently explained how all previous "peace deals" brought about only terror and bloodshed. You pointed out how the PA is not a partner for peace. Then, you went on to proclaim that you're ready to speak peace with the above partner, if they are only willing. In addition, you even announced the results of those negotiations: the ceding of parts of the Land of Israel. Those same lands which you had just shown in your speech - by giving them away - would endanger the lives of the citizens of Israel.

The Rebbe gives Mr. Netanyahu a blessing: "Tell him that certainly he'll continue to hold on to the hard line as before and (if) there be occasion to add strength, he certainly will find strength in himself to continue for the time being and after that."
If there is anything that the government in Israel should have learned over the years, it is that concessions and offers of concessions - lead to pressure and more concessions, then more pressure and more concessions. In no way is this a means of gaining respect in the world. Not only does this approach not forestall pressure, but it only increases it tenfold.

Imagine this:
A burglar attempts to strike at the homeowner of the house he is burglarizing; the victim defends himself, ejects the burglar from his home, and leaves him whimpering on his front lawn. The victim then taps his assailant on the shoulder and asks if he would like his weapon back on condition that he promise not to use it again. The former burglar yells back in no uncertain terms that he will never agree to cease using his weapon! The former victim begs the man to agree, showing his willingness to return the burglar’s weapon. As a token of goodwill, he even invites him into his house and hands him a kitchen knife saying "see! I don’t mind your having a weapon. All I want is for you to say these five words: "I will be your friend!""

Now, besides the suicidal behavior of the victim, he will also turn everyone against him. The average person watching this scene will surely come to the logical conclusion that there is something more behind the seemingly simple good/bad guy scene. This conclusion, or assumption he arrives at is that the good guy might really be the bad guy! This is in fact totally confirmed when the bad guy actually says and claims exactly that.

Make no mistake about it-
We are on a direct path to a situation where Israel will be forced to stand up to the world. These are not my own words (to be sure, nor is this whole letter my own ideas), but rather, the words of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, the Moshe of our generation (as he explained in 1978). And unfortunately, as you know all too well, this is already the situation.

Now, we must wake up before we find ourselves forced to defend our very right to exist in the Land of Israel (if that is not already happening).

The key to the situation is in your hands –
A key being a tool which opens doors standing in ones way while at the same time locks doors against undesirable elements.

You must stand unshakable and uncompromising – Standing firm in the Jewish right to the entire Land of Israel given by the God of Israel. It is time to stand up to the world, not only in rhetoric and with hypocritical policies; you must be clear in speech and most importantly in action; no part of the Land of Israel is up for negotiation!

This approach will bring security to our land by making it clear to terrorists etc. that we are here to stay.
That we are ready to protect ourselves to the fullest extant. This approach will likewise forestall pressure when the world realizes the futility of such pressure having any effect.

You mentioned the Rebbe.
You said that he told you "to light a candle of truth".
For truth to take effect, it must be conveyed unequivocally, otherwise, it fits into the category of "Every lie has a bit of truth" and then the "truth" then only serves to solidify a lie and give strength to the liars. What truth was the Rebbe referring to? Obviously, he was referring to the truth of: "No one part of the Land of Israel, given to the people of Israel, as recorded in the Torah of Israel – can be given up to anyone or even negotiated for! No Jew or - how much more so - a non-Jew, has the right to make "painful concessions" over this land. It does not belong to any individual or group – it is the eternal inheritance of the Jewish people.

In this context, the arguments of "It's too late", "What will the world say", "Its not realistic", etc. are simply ludicrous when someone thinks objectively. No one is saying that the above mentioned approach is perfect. It is far from perfect. Precisely because of the criminal neglect of acting upon it for so long. At this point, there are only two options left: give in until there is nothing left to give or hold on strong to the Land and fight our enemies.

As mentioned, we must wake up to a hard reality.
We must finally heed the warnings of the Rebbe. (whom you so conveniently quote) Time and time again he warned that negotiations would only lead to increased terror and more pressure and eventually to a Palestinian (terror) state. Even though he has unfortunately been proven right, again and again – It is as if we are blind and deaf, as we continue down the path of self-destruction.

One has only to look in the Tanach for such precedents, as the prophet of the generation begged, pleaded, and warned the Jewish people, only for his words to fall on deaf ears. In the words of Yishaya Hanavi (50:2.): "Why have I come, yet there is no man? I have called, but there is no answer?".

In conclusion it must be emphasized that in addition to there being only one logical solution in any case, we are given chances from above every now and then to make it all the easier to do the right thing.

Now is such an opportunity.
As the Arabs declare statehood at the UN, the government of Israel now has the political right to cancel all previous agreements and can more easily say to the world: "We have now learnt our lesson, we will now focus solely on the security of our citizens and we will never give up our God given homeland"

This takes strength, but you already have it, as you have been blessed by the Rebbe, as the above video clip shows. May 5, 1991, a few days before Shavuot, the artist Mr. Morad Zamir requested a special blessing for you "his good friend" to not be like those before you, who gave away Israel's land.

And the The Rebbe tells Mr. Zamir to tell you: "Tell him that certainly he'll continue to hold on to the hard line as before and (if) there be occasion to add strength, he certainly will find strength in himself to continue for the time being and after that."

It is also important to note that if you do follow the right path, you have a guarantee from the Lubavitcher Rebbe that it won't be long before much of the world, as God fearing and Bible believing people, will begin to respect Jews and our right to the Land of Israel.

However, we must first do our part by respecting ourselves!
This means we have to do the opposite of what it states in the Torah (Bamidbar 13:31-33) concerning the spies sent by Moshe into the land of Israel who said (while giving a bad report on the Land that God had promised them): "We were like grasshoppers in our eyes, and [therefore] so we were in their eyes!"

Let us speedily merit the fulfillment of the Pasuk (Bechukotai 26, 6.): "And I will grant peace in the Land, and you will lie down with no one to frighten [you]; I will remove wild beasts from the Land, and no army will pass through your land"
Amen.

With blessings for the new year,
K'tiva Vachatima Tova L'shana Tova Umetukah

Rav Wolpa: 'The Prime Minister is infected by the same disease plaguing the "House of lies"

Rabbi Shalom Wolpo, head of "Eretz Yisrael Shelanu" released a statement today in which he explains his disappointment at Mr. Netanyahu's conveniently misquoting the Lubavitcher Rebbe
Exclusive to Chabad4Israel (based on article by Shalom Abramowitz of Chabad.info)
28th of Elul 5771 - (27.09.2011)

Rabbi Shalom Wolpo, head of the Eretz Yisrael Shelanu movement released a statement in which he explains the Chabad communities disappointment at Mr. Netanyahu's half-quoting the Lubavitcher Rebbe. In speaking to the UN, Mr. Netanyahu was quoted by the JTA (Jewish Telegraphic Agency) as saying: "Netanyahu quoted the late Lubavitcher rebbe, Menachem Mendel Schneerson, calling the U.N. a “house of lies” -- though he prefaced it by saying he hoped those assembled wouldn’t be offended."
Mr. Netanyahu quoted the Rebbe in the United Nations to build Orthodox Jewish support for his governments plans to continue on with talks on the subject of Israel's relequishing Jewish Land in exchange for peace.

Disappointment within the Chabad community was apparent at Mr. Netanyahu's untimely and tactless "credentialing" (many called it: "Koshering") of his government's plans for peace in exchange for land. The same "Land for Peace" plan that the the Lubavitcher Rebbe fought so vigorously against for so many years as something detrimental to Jewish safety and Israeli security.

Incensed, Orthodox communities of Chabad Chassidim around the world were outraged at the the total misuse of the Lubavitcher Rebbe's intent. As they saw it, a complete twisting around of parts of his words to conveniently mean things completely the opposite of what Jewish Law permits and what the Rebbe and Chabad stand for.

A point that even HaAretz took off on today, trying to claim in a rambling editorial that really the Prime Minister is a "Messianist" and completely against peace. Nay, nothing less than a "Lubavitcher".

Something that sadly has little basic in truth and in fact has much support from the PM's ongoing wooing of Washington to continue failed talks for Peace, offering even greater concessions each time.

For example, as revealed in WikiLeaks, in confidential intelligence cables, Mr. Netanyahu has even been involved in talks about giving Syria Golan in exchange for continued Jewish rights of settlement. "Former U.S. Ambassador to Israel Martin Indyk was quoted as saying in an interview with Yediot Achronot, that Syria will agree to discuss the possibility of leaving Israeli settlements in place in the Golan under its sovereignty." (To see full Article) Or on May 4, 2009, this same topic was discussed: "It is reasonable to assume that the issue [of withdrawal from the Golan] will be discussed at length in the course of the meeting between Netanyahu and Obama. It is highly unlikely that Netanyahu will suggest to the President of the U.S. that an agreement between Israel and Syria be based on the formula that was proposed by Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman: peace in exchange for peace."(To see full Article)

In response to Mr. Netanyahu's remarks, Rav Wolpa of Chabad in Israel, released a statement that reads:

"To our utter dismay, Netanyahu refused to say the truth in the United Nations. He should have told Abu Mazen that according to the Holy Bible, the Land of Israel was given to the Jewish people by the Creator of the World."

"Mr. Netanyahu appears to be infected by exactly the same disease he claims plagues the "House of lies", the United Nations. The Prime Minister lied to the whole world by agreeing to create a Palestinian state, thereby endangering the lives of millions of Jews in the land of Israel, against everything he was told by the Lubavitcher Rebbe."

"So instead of "Lighting a small candle in the darkness", he has instead brought about a deeper darkness for Jews and into the UN by losing the opportunity to say the absolute truth. To tell the world that the Land of Israel belongs to the Jews, and only to the Jews."

Rabbi Wolpo added that while the terrorist Abu Mazen said his version of the truth against the Jewish nation without embarrassment or shame, but he is our enemy. Binyamin Netanyahu, on the other hand is supposed to be on our side and instead lies and distorts the truth in support of the enemy! He even prides himself on being more "leftist" than former Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin z'l, who signed the infamous Oslo Accords." Rav Wolpa has a website: www.sos-israel.com/

Former Israeli Security Chief Peri: 'The Rebbe Knew All About Israeli Intelligence Operations'

"His asessments all came true, each matching the forecasts of Israeli Military Intelligence and the ISA"*
(Israel National News) By David ben Yacov

“It was a great privilege for me. I never met anyone like him. He was as familiar as I was with ISA operations. We discussed Palestinian and global terror."

The meeting took place in 1989 in the Rebbe’s home in Crown Heights Brooklyn.

Left is Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok Aharonov - Director of Tzach in Israel. Speaking is Mr. Yaakov Peri former head of Israeli Security

Mr. Peri related that “the Rebbe gave a perfect forecast of global and Arab world events, tying them into the destiny of the Jewish People. He told us that Islam knew no limits, and as such would continue to engage in terrorist activity. He ended our meeting with a blessing for those in the Israeli secret service which I conveyed to them upon my return.

"We later saw that the Rebbe's assessments all came true. Each matching forecasts by our Military Intelligence and the ISA. He foresaw that the Cold War between the United States and Russia would soon end, and like he told us, so it was."

Peri also praised the global Chabad representatives, who bring Judaism to the most remote corners of the Earth, inspired by the Rebbe and his teachings. “The elevation of the soul on its day of passing is like a wedding. This is also the joy inherent in the mission of the Chabad representatives. This is the legacy of the Rebbe,” Peri concluded.

Yaakov Peri, former chief of the Israeli Security Agency (ISA) spoke Gimmel Tammuz about his experiences with the Lubavitcher Rebbe. Mr. Peri is today CEO of the Bank Mizrahi-Tefahot Board of Directors.

Wikileaks On Chabad Opposition To Disengagement

Chabad Activities As Reported In American Intellegence Reports
(Chabad.info) 6 Elul 5771 - Sept 5, 2011

Shalom Abramowitz
בעברית WikiLeaks has apparently something to say about Chabad activism to stop the disengagement. Raanan Levy, former religious affairs advisor to Ariel Sharon calls it the "Land for Peace" process in his new book: "Land For Peace - A Century Of Failure".

According to Wikileaks, American Intellegence around the world has been watching Chabad as revealed in diplomatic cables to the State Department. These cables discuss local events which are affected by Chabad's activities in stopping Israel's "Land For Peace" dipomacy. Stopping Israel's rush to give away land has been a primary focus and program of the Lubavitcher Rebbe since 1951. For everything Chabadniks may argue about, there is one thing every agrees upon; That the Rebbe stood solidly against the Peace Process as defined by the Oslo Accords. Chabad.info reporter Shalom Abromowitz did some Wiki searching and found the following.

In 2005, during the months leading up to the “disengagement” from Gush Katif, Sa Nur and many other Jewish communities, Americas Embassy in Tel-Aviv was keeping a watchful eye and reporting on Chabad activities protesting Israel's disengagement. Especially, they focused on the activities of a young man from Crown Heights Brooklyn, an American, the Tamim Saadya Hershkop.

1) In a diplomatic cable from Feb 11, 2005 is reported an incident in Kfar-Chabad, when Chabad Chassidim there protested Mr. Bibi Netanyahu's role in promoting the disengagement: (During his term previously as Prime Minister he had signed away Hebron)

Reports the American Embassy: “All media (Headlines in Yediot) reported that last night a "handful of extremists" who do not reside in the community attacked Finance Minister Binyamin Netanyahu during a wedding party in the Chabad-Lubavitch movement-affiliated village of Kfar Chabad (inside the Green Line). Ha'aretz reported that on Thursday, heads of Likud branches in the country initiated an ultimatum against party "rebels," who they said could bring about the Likud's fall from power.”

2) A cable from Feb 25, 2005 starts with a report about a gathering in Jerusalem to protest the disengagement:
“All media reported on, and Maariv headlined, an "inciting gathering" held last night in Jerusalem by the "hard-core, extremist opponents to disengagement" (according to Ha'aretz, members of the messianic faction of the Chabad-Lubavitch group), under the slogan: "Arik Sharon, you are bringing a holocaust upon us." A sign read: "Despite attempts to limit the quantity of weapons and ammo, each settlement has more weapons and ammo than the heroes of the Warsaw Ghetto insurrection had.”

3) An Apr 18, 2005 report says that Chabad Chassidim are resettling a areas in Gush Katif:
“On April 10, 20 members of the ultra-Orthodox "Chabad" Hassidic movement reportedly established an outpost near Neve Dekalim settlement using as a base a shack that was built four months ago in earlier attempt to establish an outpost, subsequently destroyed by the IDF, and almost immediately rebuilt by Gush Katif youth, but left uninhabited until this week. In addition to a shack that serves as a synagogue, the young men have erected a large tent as living quarters and say they expect "thousands" more Chabad students to join them in the coming weeks and months.”

4) On July 20, 2005 American Intellegence reports a rally in New York as felt in the Holy Land:
“Jerusalem Post reported that several thousand people jammed a busy midtown Manhattan street Tuesday afternoon for a prayer, song, and protest rally against withdrawal from the Gaza Strip. The demonstration was organized largely by the Lubavitch youth organization.”

5) On Aug 12, 2005 a full cable is dedicated to Saadya Hershkop, an American Lubavitcher activist who was arrested for participating in Israeli protests against the disengagement. American intelligence seems quite interested in the activities of this seemingly "daring-do" activist as they report extensively on Saadia's activities. They seem quite worried about any continued Chabad activity, especially from America which is out of Israeli governmental control to stem as you will read below:
“1. SUMMARY: The well-publicized arrest of Saadia Hershkop provides a window into the measures the Government of Israel is willing to take to ensure that Disengagement moves forward, the treatment American citizens may receive if arrested as part of anti-Disengagement activities, and the profile of one Amcit [Initials for: "American-Citizen" ed.] protester with at least a two-year history of right-wing activism. END SUMMARY.

“2. Hershkop has been in Israel for an unspecified amount of time as a student at a yeshiva in Kfar Chabad, which is known as a center for anti-Disengagement planning and activity. His family still lives in New York City, where he was raised. He speaks fluent Hebrew (his father is Israeli-American) and appears to have been in and out of Israel for at least several years, at times participating in political activism. (NOTE: Ref A is a report of his 2003 arrest for the "distribution of illegal propaganda for an illegal organization, Kahane." Kahane is a right-wing group affiliated with Kach, which has been designated as a Foreign Terrorist Organization by the US Government. END NOTE) His lawyer, whom he describes as "excellent," was supplied by Chanenu, an organization that has provided pro bono counsel to other Amcit anti- Disengagement arrestees.

“3. Hershkop was arrested on August 7 at his yeshiva by two undercover security agents posing as students. He claims he asked them to produce a warrant for his arrest, but they replied that since he was just being taken in for interrogation, no warrant was necessary. He said that he was later told that he was being held under "Administrative Detention," a process under which arrestees are outside of the normal judicial procedures and can be held without due process. In the majority of such cases, neither the defendant nor the defendant's counsel is privy to the evidence against him. Such appears to be the case for Hershkop, who claims that in his August 9 hearing before a judge, a security official behind a curtain passed secret evidence to the judge. On the advice of his lawyer, Hershkop accepted an agreement by which he would voluntarily leave Israel at his own expense for at least 50 days, a period that can be extended indefinitely. This departure has been erroneously reported in the Israeli media as a deportation.

“4. During his interview with conreps [American Consulate Representatives], Hershkop asserted that the Israeli government controls the media, and that he and his group were being watched closely, including via electronic surveillance. He said that the government's worries about him primarily centered around three issues -- the claim that he personally knew the IDF soldier who shot up a bus full of Israeli Arabs (Ref D) on August 4 killing four individuals, the suspicion that he is a danger to both Israeli Arabs and the Israeli security forces, and the suspicion that he is a danger to the Government of Israel's plans to evacuate Gaza.

“6. Prior to his August 10 morning departure from Israel, Hershkop was held at Ashmoret prison, a small facility near Netanya. In his discussion with conreps [American Consulate Representatives], he described the GOI [Government of Israel] as having gone to great lengths to hush up both his arrest and the arrests of some of his associates, to do so when media were not present, and to disperse them to separate facilities around the country. He said he has received treatment designed to single him out and punish him, such as substandard kosher food for the first day of his detention, a one-night placement in a cell full of smokers despite his bronchial infection, the withholding of his prescription medicine, and lack of access to his lawyer.

“7. Hershkop ended his discussion with conreps [American Consulate Representatives] with the ominous warning that "there will be more Americans arrested soon, many more," and that, "with God's help, we will stop Disengagement."

“8. COMMENT: Such complaints about prison conditions are not unique to Hershkop and do not, in consulate officer's opinion, constitute unusual treatment. The fact that, except for the first night, he was held in a solitary cell in the "Separation Wing" of Ashmoret Prison, is unusual and does seem to lend credibility to his claims. END COMMENT.”

Seemingly, at that time and continuing up until today, Israel cannot control what goes on in America to stop the disengagement plans. Chabad is especially a problem as the Rebbe's views and opinions are no secret. Chabad's philosophical stance is that Ahavas Yisrael demands that a Jew put ones life on the line to stop Israeli land giveaways.

The more articles that are written, broadcasts made and books published about the terrible event of the Expulsion from Gush Katif, the more it will strengthen the public conscience to see to it, that never again will we allow even an inch of our land to be given away, to become rocket launch sites. Banished, is a novel, based on real events and imaginary people. Events that nevertheless have actually happened to someone somewhere in Gush Katif. It’s an interesting read.
Aliza discusses what drove her write this book and with it a bit of Chabad history and involvement in opposition to Israel's "Land for Peace" plan.

Rabbi Chazanow Explains Shelimus Haaretz

At Hawaii's Yeshivas Kayitz, New Jersey Shliach, Rabbi Boruch Chazonow, delivered an in-depth lecture on the Rebbe's opinion about "Land for Peace" negotiations with the Palestinians
(Chabad.info) 24 Tamuz 5771 (26.07.2011)

Rabbi Boruch Chazanow delivered a class to bochurim attending Yeshivas Kayitz of Hawaii. He is Rabbi of Chabad of Western Monmouth County

This unique class was geared at educating American Chabad bochurim. Bochurim born after Gimmel Tammuz and unfamiliar with the Lubavitcher Rebbe's unique grasp of Eretz Yisrael's circumstances. Unfamiliar with what happened in Gush Katif, Camp David, the Rebbe's great love for Eretz Yisrael and how the Rebbe always petitioned Israeli politicians to do whatever they could to stop plans to give away lands gained in war when we were attacked and in general encouraging Israeli political and military people to put Jewish safety first and the wants of foreign nations last. Rabbi Chazanow spent a lot of time explaining with maps and pictures and quoting from sichos, to explain the history of Israel's misguided creation of the "Land for Peace" concept. Rabbi Chazonov detailed as well, the many possible peace agreements that could have been reached without giving away one inch of Israel.

Accused of "Incitement Against The Prime Minister"
(Chabad.info) 10 Sivan 5771 (12.06.2011)

A group of Chabad Chassidim from Tzfas, Israel were arrested by police on Friday for carrying signs that read "The Lubavitcher Rebbe Warns: Giving Land - Submission To The Enemy" and accused of 'incitement against the Prime Minister.'
(Chabad.info) 10 Sivan 5771 - 12.06.2011
Leading members of Israel's coalition government arrived in the Israeli city of Tzfas this past Friday to spend the weekend in northern Israel.
Local Chabad Chassidim utilized the opportunity to peacefully protest the giving away of Israel's land to the Arab enemy. The protestors marched with banners saying: "The Lubavitcher Rebbe Says: "Giving Land Is Submission To The Enemy."
After some three hours of protesting, a vehicle pulled up alongside them. Out stepped members of the security detail of the visiting politicians, who notified them that they are under arrest, and hauled them off to the local police station.
At the station, they were interrogated by local police and members of the Israel Security Agency, the Shabak.
They were told by their interrogators that they were arrested for 'Incitement against the Prime Minister.'
Following the intervention of local community figures and 5 members of the Knesset, they were released on bail of 5000 Shekels and put under house arrest late Friday afternoon, sparing them from spending Shabbos behind bars. A man protesting for the release of Gilad Shalit was not arrested.

A court date was set for Sunday June 12.

PM Netanyahu: "If only we had listened to the Rebbe..."

In his own words to Israeli newspaper "D'var" in September of 1984, Mr. Netanyahu yearns for the State of Israel to follow the Lubavitcher Rebbe's security advice
by : Noah Zvuluni "Devar Newspaper" (Hebrew) Section: "Anashim" Page 3 Sept 30, 1984

"If only we had listened to the Lubavitcher Rebbe, the situation in Israel would be entirely different, and better, in all domains - financially, politically and militarily," the Israeli paper quotes the then Israeli UN ambassador Benjamin Netanyahu as stating to the Algemeiner Journal. It goes on to further recount how while in New York Netanyahu had a 40-minute private audience with the Rebbe. One of the question he asked was whether contacts were held between the Rebbe and then Prime Minister Shimon Peres while he was in New York, to which the Rebbe responded: "That's between me and Peres..."

Learn From Netanyahu to Protest Oslo

A mock funeral procession that took place yesterday putting prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu's book "to rest", was dismissed by members of the mainstream as 'extremist activity'
By David Yisraeli, (Chabad Info News Service) 22 Iyar 5771 - May 26, 2011

Yesterday, Tuesday May 25th, moments before he was scheduled to address the United States Congress, right-wing activists in Israel were burying Israeli prime minister Mr. Benjamin Netanyahu's book: "A Place Among the Nations" in a symbolic funeral.
The mock funeral and burial was staged to imitate a similar funeral protest event that Mr. Netanyahu had been a principal organizer and participant of many years ago protesting former Prime Minister Rabin's persuing of the Oslo accords as "dangerous for Israel and Jews". A protest in which a coffin was carried symbolizing the "Burying of Zionism" with the advent of the anti-Israel Oslo Accords. (see picture)
The funeral which left from a Jerusalem funeral home attracted press attention. The event was attended by dozens, including right-wing leader Rabbi Sholom Dovber Wolpo, Baruch Marzel and MK Mr. Michael Ben-Ari. Commenting on the event, a participant remarked: "The burial procession was arranged because today Mr. Netanyahu has buried the ideology he once believed in."

Their fears were not unfounded.
Indeed, across the world, speaking to Congress, Mr. Netanyahu shocked Israelis with his speech to Congress, renewing his pledge to foster a two state solution and to bring about the advent of a Palestinian state bringing the borders of Israel dangerously back to pre-1967. An unheard of idea from the Mr. Netanyahu of pre-Oslo days.
Speaking to the protestors, Chaver Keneset Mr. Ben-Ari told the crowd that: "Netanyahu is not a leader... He has changed his entire ideology, pulling the plug on it."
At the "eulogy" for Netanyahu's book, Mr. Ben-Ari continued: "Netanyahu is the reason there is no way to distinguish between Likud and Kadima. This book was supposed to purport to give him the moral and ideological stand and clarity to make him worthy of being called a leader."
Speaking, Rabbi Boruch Marzel said, "Netanyahu is not a man of the right. He is a leftist and his books should not be found in any house that supports the right of Jews to settle in Israel."
Rabbi Wolpo spoke more strongly about the possible consequences bound to face Mr. Netanyahu's continuing on the political path of "Land for Peace". Said Rav Wolpo: "Mr. Netanyahu is becoming the leading advocate for Palestinian statehood. He will be punished by Heaven for his deeds, as were Rabin, Sharon, Olmert and Katzav."
Other leading activist also graced the stage at the solemn event.
People at the center-right cringed at the very notion of such a service being held. They deemed it inappropriate and called the rabbis involved, extremists.
Chabad Info has just discovered the old photograph of Netanyahu at a similar procession, putting to rest the "Zionist ideology" which he contended then, Rabin was killing through the disgraceful Oslo accord.

Group to 'Bury' PM's Book

Reported: May 22, 2011
The Land of Israel Movement will hold a symbolic “funeral” for Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's book, “A Place in the Sun,” in which he lays out his vision for a strong, secure State of Israel. The ceremony will take place as Netanyahu addresses Congress Tuesday, and will be led by MK Michael Ben-Ari (National Union), and activists Rabbi Shalom Wolpe, Baruch Marzel, Itamar Ben-Gvir, and Shai Gefen. The group says it is burying the book since Netanyahu has already buried his principles, and is prepared to give up Judea and Samaria to appease U.S. President Barack H. Obama.

“The Likud continues on the path of destruction,” said MK Ben-Ari. “Its leaders act like Meretz and seek the reward of the brave souls of Itamar. We are not fooled by the 'tough' persona Netanyahu is trying to pose in Washington, since he himself declared his willingness to establish a PA state, and is prepared to squeeze Jewish settlement in Judea and Samaria.”

Lubavitch Is Bad News To The Peace Process

So says a non-Jewish blog.

Ever wonder if Chabad's "NO LAND FOR PEACE" campaign gets noticed?

The following was found on a non-Jewish young man's blog called: "Thomas In Israel"
The blog featured a picture of a sign this young man had snapped on a Jerusalem bus. "A Palestinian State Would Be A Disaster For Israel" said the said in Hebrew with a big picture of the Lubavitcher Rebbe on it. The following is the text of the blog:

Long Live the Peace Process: “A Palestinian State is a Disaster for Israel”
MAY 28, 2011
Whilst US President Barack Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu exchanged blows from their respective soapboxes this past week, life in the state of Israel/Palestine continued pretty much as normal. Two nations slowly sleepwalking towards a September showdown – a showdown to which we here in Jerusalem are guaranteed front row seats.

The international community may well speak of a two-state solution, but on the ground the prospect of such a solution seems very far off for a multitude of reasons. A couple of months ago Chabad, an ultra-orthodox Jewish organisation, ran a poster campaign (see below) on buses across Jerusalem warning that a Palestinian state would be a disaster for Israel. While it’s right to not criticise the running of such adverts on the basis of freedom of speech, it’s depressing that such views continue to be spread throughout Israel especially when both sides are meant to refrain from propagating fear and hatred of the other side. The peace-process may have stalled on the diplomatic front, but in Israel it’s hard to see how the idea of a Palestinian state could ever be sold to the electorate. Things don’t bode well…

A Project Of The Crown Heights Committee For Shleimus HaAretz

Rabbi Aaron Dov Halprin, editor of the newspaper "Kfar Chabad" writes about the Rebbe's prophecy about Camp David:

The Rebbe said in 1981: "How can we rely on such an agreement? Who knows who will rule Egypt in a year? And who can assess what the situation will be in 30 years.

(Hassidout.org of France News) May 14, 2011

Today, 30 years later, the Rebbe's prophetic statements are realized.

A Poll conducted by the PEW Research center shows that a majority of Egyptians are for the cancellation of the peace treaty with Israel
According to a poll conducted Monday by the Pew Research Center, 54% of Egyptians are in favor of the cancellation of the peace treaty with Israel. The survey also reveals that 80% have an unfavorable opinion of the with as much excitement in his voice."United States. The Muslim Brotherhood is seen favorably by 75% of the population, while the former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak is appreciated by only 13% of respondents. The survey was conducted among 1,000 Egyptians between March 24 and April 7.

30 years ago, the Rebbe and the peace treaty with Egypt

Rabbe Aaron Dov Halprin, editor of the Hebrew newspaper "Kfar Chabad", writes:

"It was in 1981, at the end of the month of Tishrei 5742. (after Rosh Hashannah). I had just returned from New York where I spent the month of festivities with the Rebbe at 770. A message was given to me from Professor Yossef Zuriel of Haifa ...
Professor Zuriel was a world expert in sand (do not ask me what it is) and had traveled the world on this subject, including, in secret, in several Arab countries. Excitedly he told me: "Your rabbi is really a great sage!"

Says Rabbi Halperin: "It was the first time I had heard this man, who is usually quiet and thoughtful by nature, with as much excitement in his voice."
- "Listen to me!" He told me. "Your rabbi is really a great sage!" Rabbi Halperin was quite surprised that only now he had figured this out? Prof Tsuriel was no stranger to the Lubavitcher Rebbe for a few years already. He could not figure out what was new cause for excitement.
Rabbi Halperin continues: "I asked him: What's going on?"
- He tells me: "Sadat, was murdered two weeks ago!
- "But what with Sadat?" I said. It had piqued my curiosity.
- "What!? You do not remember what I told you about my yechidus, my meeting with the Rebbe last year?" He asked incredulously.
I actually did not remember much of what he had told me, except about a letter he had written to the Rebbe in French. So the Rebbe had answered him: "You certainly talk Hebrew..? I remember he told me that they had talked about his visits to various Arab countries.
- "Refresh my memory". I said trying desparately to remember-

- "Remember? I had asked the Rabbi why he was against the Camp David accords with Egypt and why he was so worried at the prospect of Israel giving away the Sinai's oil fields. Now I see how the Rebbe is so wise!"
- "But what exactly did the Rebbe tell you?" I asked, burning with impatience.
"The Rabbi said like this:
"How can we rely on such an agreement?" Who knows who will rule Egypt in a year?
And who can assess what the situation will be there in 30 years?"

"Now, we are a year later and Sadat was assassinated! The Rebbe was right!"

This was 30 years ago. Today, 2011 is thirty years after the Rebbe spoke these words in 1981.

At the time (in 1981), I published our exchange in the newspaper.
I had quoted the words of the Rebbe as he told me word for word, with the emphasis obviously on his conclusion about the Rebbe's prophecy.
Today, the second part of the Rebbe's clairvoyant prophecy seems no less extraordinary, "who can assess what the situation there in 30 years. "1981-2011 (Taken as an excerpt from Kfar Chabad Parshas Tetsaveh 5771)

Rav Wolpo & "Land of Israel" Delegation Invited By Belgium Diplomats. Addresses Belgian Parliment

(SOS-Israel News) April 13, 2011

It all started with the visit to Eretz Yisrael of MP's from the right-wing parties in Europe, six months ago.

A visit held at the initiative of a community leader in Berlin, Mr. Chaim Milstein. The VIP guests visited the West Bank, military bases, were hosted by Knesset Member Rabbi Nissim Zeev, and finally made a moving visit to the Gush Katif Museum.

As a result, friendships were formed that led to a visit from Israel to Europe by three prominant activists for the Land of Israel. Professor Hillel Weiss from "Ne′emanei Eretz", R. David Haivri, head of external relations in Shomron, and Rabbi Shalom Dov Volpo, Chairman of "Our Land of Israel."

The visit was carried out at the invitation of the head of the Beligian "Vlaams Belang" party, Mr. Filip Dewinter. Vlaams Belang is an important political party in Belgium commanding ten percent of Belgium votes and 34 percent of Belgium's capital city of Antwerp.

Mr. Patrik Brinkman, a leading activist of the Vlaams Belang party, financed not only the plane tickets for this historical trip but also hospitality, glatt kosher meals and if that was not enough, he personally drove the guests from city to city in his car!

The three patriots for the Lan of Israel had a singular purpose in going.
To meet with representatives of the Belgian government's Rightist parties. Parties which are opposed to the spread of radical Islam in Europe, a common interest that transcends all geographical borders. A partnership to work against surrender to Muslim terror. A partnership which bonds the sane politicians in Europe with their counterparts in the Land of Israel.

The Jewish delegation arrived in Berlin Sunday the 28th of Adar and visited Chabad Shliach Rabbi Teichtel′s Chabad House and the Berlin Jewish Museum. From there they drove about 600 miles to the city of Gelsenkirchen. On Monday they addressed members of the municipal parliament and some 200 residents at the ancient palace. All of the speakers discussed the dangers of creating an Arab Terror state and the necessity for Israel to reannex and continue to settle the territories.

As they spoke Gelsenkirchen's liberal mayor held a demonstration of hundreds of participants opposite the palace, to protest the "racist" ideologies of the Jewish guests. As if this was not enough of a "welcome to Germany", local media especially the newspapers, also opposed the visit claiming that Jewish places such as Yehuda and Shomron do not exist, going on to say that there is only the "West Bank" of Palestine.

On Tuesday, Rosh Chodesh Nissan the delegatin arrived at the ancient city of Cologne. First stop was the local Chabad House directed by HaRav HaGaon Menachem Mendel Schtroks. Next was an official reception in the city's municipality building. Speakers at the reception they spoke about Shleimus Haaretz. The need to stop the "Land for Peace" process. The guests were shown archaeological digs where Jewish homes and an ancient Mikvah were found.

On Wednesday in the city of Brussels, Belgium, the delegation from the Holy Land addressed dozens of members of the Flemish Parliament (Belgian, Flemish and Federal). Attending were Senators, Ministers of Foreign Affairs and the heads of the Defense Committee.

Dr. Hillel Weiss spoke about the importance of Jews living in the areas of Yehuda and Shomron, the Biblical cradle of the Jewish nation. How the Jewish Nation′s ownership of the Land throughout the generations is discussed Biblically as an inheritance from Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Prof. Weiss discussed as well, the Jewish position according to International Law. The decision of the "San Remo United Nations Conference" in 1922 that includes the "West Bank" as a part of the land of Israel belonging to the Jews. He talked about how increasing Muslim political power in Yehuda and Shomron and Yerushalayim will only encourage Islamic expansion in Europe. He called upon the audience to do everything possible to prevent the establishment of a Palestinian state, for their own good.

David Haivri lectured at length about the history of the settlement in Yehuda and Shomron, the wonderful achievements of West Bank residents and the importance of the Shomron from security and historical perspectives. David's fluent English and way he analyzed the situation, captured the hearts of members of parliament. He was also equipped with a wonderful video of Shomron.

Rabbi Wolpo spoke of his family members who were victims of the murderous Arabs since they settled in Turkish Palestine in the mid 1800's. He described how his great grandfather and many other family members were slaughtered in the most inhumane fashion was killed in Chevron in the terrible Arab riots of 1929.
All this before the problem of "territories"!

Rav Wolpo asked the audience if they would be willing to establish a Muslim state in Brussels in order to bring peace between themselves and the Arabs in Europe. In this way he demonstrated that the Israeli government cannot give any parts of the Land to the Arab enemy. For the simple reason that they do not belong to the government, but rather are a Biblical trust, given to the people of Israel.

Another issue addressed at the gathering was the position of "Ne′emanei Eretz" who are about to establish "a Jewish authority" in the West Bank, to meet this threat. After the speeches came a series of questions and answers in the special atmosphere of cooperation and mutual understanding.

Senior party members and members of Parliament hosted the delegation for lunch at the Parliament′s official guest house, each kosher meal hermetically packaged with kashrus seals of the Lubavitcher Rabbi's in Brussels.

On Thursday, a reception was held in the municipality of Antwerp. An official dinner in a local kosher restaurant was also attended by the local Lubavitch Shliach Rabbi Shabtai Slavaticki, who addressed all the participants and became acquainted with them.

The highlight of the visit was when the head of the party, Mr. Filip Dewinter signed an important petition calling for Jewish settlement throughout Yehuda and Shomron and opposing Israel's establishment of a Palestinian state. He took it upon himself to sign up many more leaders of right-wing parties in Europe.

Belgian Parliament Embraces Wolpo

(Chabad.Info) April 10, 2011
A delegation of land of Israel faithful set out on a tour of Europe to garner support for Jewish settlement of Judea and Samaria and opposition to a Palestinian Terror State.

The delegation included Rabbi Sholom Ber Wolpo, head of SOS Israel, David Ha'ivri, the director of the Shomron Liaison Office, and professor Hillel Weiss, a professor of literature at Bar Ilan University. The trip began in Germany where they made stops in Berlin and cologne. Next they moved on to Belguim where they were warmly greeted by Filip Dewinter, a Belgian Parliamentarian and leading members of the Vlaams Belang political party. The delegation spoke at the Belgium parliament, in front of both MPs and senators.

Professor Weiss spoke of the Jewish right to the land not as a UN resolution but as a G-d given one. He went on to emphasize that if radical Islam is let to foster in the Middle East, it will quickly take hold in the rest of the wold as well, something many in the audience were able to relate to.

David Ha'ivri spoke about the Jewish history in the Land of Israel, captivating the crowd with his oratory skills.

Rabbi Wolpo related a more personal account of how his ancestors were butchered by the Arabs, including his great-grandfather in Chevron in 1909, then many of his relatives in the 1929 Hebron Massacre. But the trail of blood didn't end there. Rabbi Wolpo also lost his father-in-law to Arab brutality in 1953.

All this, explained Wolpo, was years before the establishment of any so-called "settlement!" The group were also formally greeted at Antwerp's City Hall.

The trip concluded at the house of Rabbi Shabtai Slavititzky, Shliach to Antwerp. Before parting way, Parliamentarian Filip Dewinter signed on a declaration calling for the furtherance of Jewish settlement in Judea and Samaria and opposition to the establishment of a Palestinian State. He also pledged to get fellow right-wing European politicians to follow suit.

(Israel National News) April 17, 2011
The members of Eliezer; the Jewish Society at Yale will start an annual lecture on campus in memory of your parents and siblings. It will be titled “The Fogel Family Annual Lecture on Israeli Security and Sovereignty.” As we have done for 14 years we will on an annual basis bring a leader of the Israeli Political and religious leadership to Yale to speak about the importance of Israel never compromising holy Jewish land for a so called peace with an enemy that seeks our annihilation .
Rabbi Hecht put out a call for other Chabad Rabbis to do the same:
"I humbly invite my colleagues, leaders of Jewish Communities to join me in committing and publicizing some enduring community act in the name of your family. I hope that the light of their memory will shine eternally on our people and guide our path to safety through every peril. We will remind the world that the Jews of Itamar, are well armed and yet not a shot of retaliation has been fired."
This past January, Rabbi Hecht challenged Richard Goldstone about the veracity and fairness of his report. (see video by clicking here) when Mr. Goldstone was invited to speak at prestigious Yale University.

In fact 2 months later Mr. Goldstone did exactly that and on April 1, the Washington Post printed a "recantantion" by Richard Goldstone (click here to read article) in which he completely reversed himself and the results of the infamous "Goldstone Report"

Promoters are hopeful that this will encourage Israel to reconsider plans to give away land and to properly protect these areas by taking back all the land previous given away. The areas given away, Gaza and West Bank areas, are today both being used to launch rockets at Southern Israel. Israel has continued to ignore their mistake in giving these areas away and is avoiding retaking the areas dipolomatically or militarily as is in their right under international law to do for any number of reasons, such as violation or unfulfullment of agreements and treaties.

Even this Israel is loathe to do for some reason, instead putting the fullfillment of violated treaties / agreements ahead of Jewish safety. Daas Torah cites "Jewish safety", as the number one reason for Israel keeping / retaking the given away areas. (As found in Hilchot Shabbos Chap 329) This reason has been cited numerous times by the Lubavitcher Rebbe as being more of a reason than any other religious claim to the Land. Book: Shalom Shalom Ve Eyn Shalom - שלום שלום ואין שלום

Book Is In Hebrew - ספר בערית
Return to product informationThirty years ago the Rebbe instructed Rabbi Volpo to publish his book "Shalom Shalom v′Ayn Shalom" that deals with Shleimus Haaretz and the dangers of the Camp David Accords. The book includes rare documentation from different wars in Israel and the struggle against the pullback from Sinai * The historical volume is coming out in a new edition

A new edition of the historical book "Shalom Shalom v′Ayn Shalom" will be available shortly. The book is very timely, in view of the upheavals and revolutions taking place in the Arab countries. The book summarizes the struggle against the pullback from Sinai, and presents hundreds of documents and news clippings from that period of time.

The book was written and published 30 years ago by Rabbi Sholom Dov Volpo, Chairman of the "Our Land of Israel" Movement, by a personal directive from the Lubavitcher Rebbe in the days of the Sinai withdrawal.
The content of the book is fascinating, and has historical importance, helping understand the struggle against the Begin government′s concessions.

The events are presented in clear chronological order, and lead the reader in a time tunnel back to the Six Day War, the War of Attrition, the Yom Kippur War, up until and including the Camp David Accords. The book includes rare documentation of articles, certificates, and newspaper clippings from those days.
The publications department of SOS- Israel decided to publish the book in a new edition, for the lessons to be learned are so pertinent in the present. The book should be required study material in all schools and a must have in every home. The book explains clearly the significance of the sanctity of Eretz Yisroel, the inherent dangers in withdrawing from territories, and the obligation to protect Eretz Yisroel in light of the events that transpired.
The volume contains 600 printed pages on glossy paper, and thousands of books will be released for sale in the coming days in book stores around the country. We call upon all Eretz Yisroel loyalists to help distribute the book to as many people as possible.

'Light Shabbat candles in Fogels memory'
Birmingham, England

More Than 20k Women Sign Up To Light Shabbas Candles For The Fogels

THE JEWISH CHRONICLE ONLINE
By Jessica Elgot, March 18, 2011
(read full article) A Chabad woman from Birmingham has started a worldwide movement to get Jewish women to light Shabbat candles in memory of the murdered Fogel family in Itamar.

Esther Cohen, co-director of Chabad West Midlands and head of Jewish studies at King David Primary School, began a Facebook event to ask people to light a candle in memory of of Rabbi Udi and Ruth Fogel, and three of their children, Yoav, 11, Elad, 4, and Hadas, 3 months old, who were murdered a week ago in their home in the West Bank.'
More than 20,000 people from all over the world have now signed up to her campaign.
Mrs Cohen said: “I never dreamed it would get so big. The idea was to bring the women together. Every mitzvah counts. Let’s use our power as women to do something positive, to bring light into the world to counter the darkness. What better thing to do than to light Sabbath candles?”
She said she hoped her project touched Tamar Fogel, the surviving 12-year-old daughter of the murdered couple who has sworn to “be a mother” to her two surviving siblings.
Mrs Cohen said: “It is important for her to be able to say, I think, ‘Mommy, you can’t light your Shabbat candles this week, but there are thousands of women who are lighting them on your behalf, and they are all thinking of you.” To Join the facebook campaign and light along with Mrs. Cohen click here:

On a side note, in 1970, the Rebbe did say in a sicha to N'shei Chabad that a woman keeping Tznius helps protect Jews in Eretz Yisrael.

Crown Heights Women's Purim Rally in Memory of Fogel Family

by Chana Ya'ar

(Israel National News) (Read The Article)
A group of women in Brooklyn is holding a public Purim rally Sunday to express their solidarity with the surviving Fogel children of Itamar and to honor the memories of their parents and siblings.
Rabbi Udi Fogel, his wife Ruth and three of their six children – including a 3-month-old baby -- were murdered Friday night in their beds 10 days ago by Arab terrorists. Their 12-year-old daughter Tamar discovered the horrifying tragedy when she returned home from a youth group event.
Although the Sunday afternoon event is being run by women, “the entire community is invited,” Tamar Adelstein, who heads the group, told Israel National News.
Adelstein explained the rally is also aimed at underscoring the importance of “maintaining the integrity of the complete Land of Israel” – a running theme of her telephone talk show.
Especially geared for children, the event features a recitation of special passages highlighted by the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson.
“Many of Judaism's fundamentals are brought out through these verses and sayings of our sages, which the Rebbe taught that every child should study and recite each day,” Adelstein noted.
The event features live music, a speaker and a performance by renowned Master Storyteller Rabbi Yitzy Erps.
Slated for 1:00 p.m. EDT at 1714 President Street (Utica / Rochester), the event is being sponsored by Women for the Safety and Integrity of Israel, the “Shleimus Ha'Aretz talk show, Friends of the Frankel Shul and the Adelstein Family. (Read The Article)

Soldiers and Policemen Ask Forgiveness for Expulsion

5th of Adar 5771 - Mar 11, 2011
A new program from Rabbi Sholem Ber Wolpo & Rabbi Yekutiel Rapp's "SOS-Israel" for soldiers and policemen to seek forgiveness for removing Jews from Gush Katif, Netzarim, Sa-Nur and the other areas Israel gave away.

Lately many soldiers and policemen who were somehow connected to the expulsion from Gush Katif and Northern Shomron turned to Rav Wolpo asking how they can make amends for the terrible wrongdoing that they caused to Jews and the Jewish Nation, thereby absolving themselves of being affected by the Disengagement Curse. SOS-Israel came up with a creative program to participants in the removals ask forgiveness, suggesting that soldiers and policemen who sinned by participating in the expulsion to please send a written statement expressing their regret, and taking upon him or herself never to take part in any expulsion of Jews from Israel's Land again.

Statements should be signed with full Jewish name and mother′s Jewish name, minus the family name or address. SOS-Israel's Rabbanim will read the soldiers′ requests for forgiveness at the Meoras HaMachpela (Cave of our Patriarchs) in Chevron, and will pray for each soldier or policemen's future health, well-being and success.

Chabad at York University's Third Annual Israel Advocacy Shabaton

Rabbi On Settlers: Jewish Homeowners Being Removed From The Land By Israel's Government Should Defend Themselves!

By JONAH MANDEL
03/08/2011
(Jerusalem Post) A Chabad rabbi has suggested that Jewish property owners being illegally removed from their land and homes should strike back at police and soldiers in the same way they act against Jews, predicting a civil war among Israel’s Jews.
“The army has decided to fight against the Jewish citizens of the Land of Israel.” said Rabbi Shalom Dov Wolpe, head of the Eretz Yisrael Shelanu movement, on Israel Radio’s religious Reshet Moreshet station last week. “When Jews or Arabs come the way they did at Gilad Farm to destroy homes, and they shoot rubber bullets, they should have rubber bullets shot back at them! And if they come to beat people, they should be beaten back.” Rav Wolpe said.
“I hate saying this, but it looks like it’s unfortunately approaching a state of war between Jews,” the rabbi told the radio station.

Wolpe, who is not considered part of the mainstream settler leadership, also compared Defense Minister Ehud Barak to Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi: “There are currently two leaders who shoot at citizens – Barak and Gaddafi,” he said.
“Neither will get away with it.” (Read Full Article in JPost)

There appears to be a basis to Rav Wolpa's claim that what the government is doing is illegal. Cabinet Secretary Tzvi Hauser and Assistant Defense Minister Eitan Broshi told Israel court that indeed all Jewish property in the West Bank is slated to be destroyed by the end of this year, regardless. "All outposts built on privately-owned land in Judea and Samaria will be torn down by the end of 2011", said Cabinet Secretary Tzvi Hauser and Assistant Defense Minister Eitan Broshi in an court affidavit filed Monday.(see article by clicking here)

The State also admitted that in the course of the past two years [a period corresponding to the time that the Netanyahu government is in office - ed.], more demolition orders in Judea and Samaria were carried out against Jews than against Arabs. This, despite the fact that illegal construction exists in significantly higher rates in the Arab sector. This amounts to an admission that Jews are discriminated against and that the law is not applied equally to Jews and Arabs in Judea and Samaria.

Meanwhile Reuters is reporting that Mr. Netanyahu admits that " the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) must stay here, deployed along the length of the Jordan (River). It is the insurance policy for the State of Israel," PM Netanyahu said.

Mr. Netanyahu said "terrorists, missiles and rockets" would enter the West Bank and threaten Israel if the Jordan River security line was breached. (see video to understand this better). Meanwhile Mr. Netanyahu is apparently talking from two sides of his mouth as he admitted pushing forward with more "land for Peace" concessions. This, despite his previously stated position of needing these lands for Israel's very life. (see Reuters Article) Monday, an Israeli official said Netanyahu was formulating a "phased approach" plan aimed at breaking a diplomatic deadlock with the Palestinians. The official did not elaborate, but Defense Minister Ehud Barak was quoted in an interview in the Wall Street Journal on Tuesday as saying Netanyahu might propose a Palestinian state with temporary borders, an idea Palestinian leaders reject.

Meanwhile Rav Wolpa has rushed to defend his position which was immediately vilified in the press after the JPost headlined him as claiming he said: "Rabbi says Settlers Should Shoot Soldiers". He claims his words were taken out of context. And in fact the JPost article following this sensationalist headline actually does not say that what Rav Wolpa advocates killing soldiers, saying that if Jews are set upon by a government which seeks to illegally remove them, so then they should in fact defend themselves. There does not appear to be anywhere in the article where he does in fact advocate shooting Israeli soldiers. However JPost itself does admit in another article in the same issue that in fact government plans are to give away Jerusalem, Golan and West Bask irregardless of what the Israeli public feels or thinks as mentioned above. This does in fact seem to constitute a breach in the public’s trust, calling into question claims that Israel is a "democracy". For certainly, no people in any country of the world would condone the giving away of it's own citizens land, it’s vitally needed natural resources and strategic military positions to terrorist entities with a genocidal anti-Jewish history. Certainly, this cannot have been done in any sort of "democratic" fashion. It is doubtful that any government anywhere would condone giving away its country to people who hate them. There is no reason why Israel should not "be like the non-Jew" in this regard. At least here Israel, be "Like the non-Jew" and start to show concern for your citizens safety.

Rabbi Eliezrie Speaks About False Video On YouTube Placed by CAIR

Chabad Rabbi David Eliezrie Speaks About False Video On YouTube Placed by CAIR
ICNA, the Islamic Circle of North America sponsored a fundraiser at the city owned Yorba LInda Community Center with two known terror supporters as their keynote speakers. One was Abdel Malik Ali, a supporter of Hamas that demands Israel be eradicated and Jews killed all over the world. See him speaking May 13, 2009: (see Youtube video of Mr. Malik-Ali Speaking May 13, 2009) Joining him was Siraj Wahaj, an unindicted co conspirator in the first World Trade Center bombing. Rabbi Eliezrie has been roundly criticized in the press as being "anti-Islam" and a racist. Recently Rabbi Eliezrie Director of Chabad in Yorba Linda, California, and president of the Rabbinical Council of Orange County and Long Beach, defended himself. Says Rabbi Eliezrie of Chabad of Yorba Linda: I participated in a peaceful protest on the lawn a hundred yards away from the Yorba Linda Community Center with the Mayor of Yorba Linda, City Council Members, US Congressman, the local Reform Rabbi and others, who each spoke. Meanwhile another demonstration started near the entrance of the Community Center not related to us. Those in the second rally spoke harshly as indicated on the video. We did not join them, in fact we told people not to go there.

It was in fact suspected that CAIR in fact hired those people to later claim that protesters are racists. Says Rav Eliezrie: "The phony CAIR video spliced images from the two events making them appear as if they were actually the same event. In truth we had nothing to do with the other anti-islamic rally. Our point was not decrying Islam, but the terrorist individuals invited to speak that day.

The doctored video does not show me or other speakers with this group near the building entrance since I did not join them. Nor does it mention that the main speakers at this event for a Muslim organization have a long history of supporting terror against Americans as well as Jews. The edited video by CAIR is another incident in long history of distorting the truth."

In the CAIR press release they state two of the fundraiser’s speaking, were speaking that day on the "importance of charity in Islam”. CAIR failed to mention one speaker is in supporter of Hamas and the second was an unindicted co conspirator in the first World Trade Center bombing.

The Yorba Linda Community Center hosted 2 suspected terrorists to speak, Mr. Amir Abdel Malik-Ali and Imam Siraj Wahhaj.

December 14, 2001, following the release of a videotape documenting Osama bin Laden celebrating the September 11 attack, Mr. Malik-Ali told the San Francisco Chronicle that he "found the tape "inspirational", and that it expressed the importance of our commitment to Allah."

According to Congressman Ed Royce, Islamic Imam Mr. Siraj Wahhaj, has advocated replacing American democracy with Sharia law. Mr. Wahhaj was linked by the FBI investigators to the 1993 attack on the World Trade Center. A few years later, he stood as a character witness defending Sheik Omar Abel-Rahman, and three other terrorists convicted in the World Trade Center attack. The "Blind Sheik" Omar Abel-Rahman is now serving a life sentence for conspiring to bomb a series of New York City landmarks in 1995.
The second speaker, Amir Abdel Malik-Ali, is a vocal supporter of Hezbollah, a terrorist group outlawed by the United States and on the DEA's list of major drug suppliers worldwide. (see US Drug Enforcement Website) (Also see: CBS Report: Drugs Funding Terrorism. Drug Money For Hebollah?) According the AP in 2002 Federal authorities amassed evidence that an illegal drug operation in the United States is funneling proceeds to Middle East terrorist groups like Hezbollah. The evidence was gathered by the United States Drug Enforcement Administration. A series of raids in January of 2002 indicated that a drug operation in the Midwest involving men of Middle Eastern descent has been shipping money back to terrorist groups, officials said. "There is increasing intelligence information from the investigation that drug sales in the United States are going support terrorist organizations in the Middle East," DEA administrator Asa Hutchinson said.

The DEA calls it "Narco-Terror". DEA lists both Hamas and Hezbullah as prominant drug farming and wholesaling groups with sources worldwide including Mexico and the Middleast which are brought into the United States for sales which then fund terror. According to CBS News, A UN report, shows that $322 billion was made last year by the global drug trade. $65 billion of that was from American drug users. US officials say increasingly the sale of illegal drugs is the financing of choice for terrorists. "Nothing generates money like drugs...it is the most lucrative illicit commodity that's trafficked,” Michael Braun, the Chief of Operations for the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) told a panel in Washington. (see CBS News Report - Click Here)

Mr. Braun called groups like the FARC, the Taliban, Hamas and Hezbollah: "hybrids -- They are one part terrorist organization and are becoming one part global drug trafficking cartel." In fact, of the 43 groups identified as known terrorist organizations by the US State Department, 19 are linked to the drug trade. Hebullah was once called the "A-team" of terrorists by a top U.S. government official.

Mr. Malik-Ali is quoted on YouTube as a supportor of Hamas, Hezbullah and Jihad on American campuses (see Youtube video of Mr. Malik-Ali Speaking May 13, 2009)

As is known, it was never the way of the Lubavitcher Rebbe to decry Islam as a way of supporting Israel. In fact the Rebbe put the blame for terror squarely on Israel for promoting a program of "Land for Peace". The focus of Chabad programming against terror has been in fact to advocate for Israel's disengagement from the failed "Land for Peace" folly and to instead concentrate on Jewish safety as the means to Peace for Jews and Israel by taking back lands given away and stopping further discussions for peace that involve concesssions of land, natural resources or other things that compromise Israel's security.

Rabbi Shmully Hecht of "The Yale Eliezer Society" Challenges Richard Goldstone

Waving signs and protesting Rabbi Hecht urges Goldstone to review his own report

(Israel Metzav) Sunday January 31, 2010
Video: Rabbi Shmully Hecht Challenges Professor Goldstone at Yale [See Video] Rabbi Shmully Hecht, advisor to Eliezer, the Jewish society at Yale University, confronted Judge Richard Goldstone last week when he delivered an address on campus. The move surprised Goldstone, who was visibly affected by a poster comparing his report on the war in Gaza with the Dreyfus Affair and the anti-Semitic Protocols of the Elders of Zion.
The Goldstone report, authorized by the United Nations, accuses Israel of committing war crimes in the operation against Gaza terrorists last year.
Rabbi Hecht and others held up the sign in the back of the conference room and Judge Goldstone appeared to be flustered. A Yale official interrupted the speech and said, “You have made your point. Take it down now.”
At a reception following Goldstone’s remarks, Rabbi Hecht said he asked the retired South African judge, “Do you firmly believe the Israeli government has a policy of targeting civilians?… I feel sorry for you.”
Rabbi Hecht then asked Goldstone what he will say when evidence shows that “the report was a sham.” Goldstone answered, “Should that occur, I will rejoice.”
Rabbi Hecht concluded by saying that he “shook his hand, and he looked me in the eye like a troubled Jew.” (see video by clicking here)

Ed note: 2 months later Mr. Goldstone did exactly that and on April 1, the Washington Post printed a "recantantion" by Richard Goldstone (click here to read article) in which he completely reversed himself and the results of the infamous "Goldstone Report"

The IDF Conversions Compromise Security

Rabbi Gedalia Axelrod, Av Bais Din, Chaifa

Jan 25, 2011 (SOS-Israel) (Read Full Article) A petition filed with the High Court dealt with a conversion annulment of a woman who stated that she didn′t accept the yoke of mitzvos when she converted.  The petitioner claimed that insincerity in acceptance of mitzvos cannot annul conversion.  The Attorney General for Halachic Issues, Rabbi Shimon Yaakobi, was requested to submit his judicial opinion before the court hearing.  He examined the topic from a Halachic and a judicial point and arrived at a clear conclusion: according to the Poskim, a conversion can be annulled.

This is a quote from the booklet that he authored: "Instant conversions will not solve the basic problem of disunity within the nation.  Neither will ′hopping conversions′ nor ′winking conversions′ solve it.    We all must be wary of sliding down a slippery slope, which can bring to the division of the nation into two nations."

Rabbi Yaakobi′s superior was displeased by his booklet, and it was archived and not presented to the High Court.  In its stead, a notice was sent to the High Court that the convert′s problem would be solved in the best fashion.   Then the order came from ′on high′ to approve her conversion without investigating if she observes the mitzvos.

But ′the Protector of Israel neither dozes nor slumbers′: when the prosecutor  made a faux pas at the High Court session, and in a totally unnatural and unexpected slip of the tongue said that the IDF conversions were illegal, the  secret was out.  By Divine intervention the mockery of the mass fictive conversions became public knowledge.  These conversions don′t resemble true giyur. The conversion institute′s teachers and counselors ridicule accepting the yoke of mitzvos, and the converts are aware, even at the moment of ′conversion′, that it is the same as a reform conversion.

Now is the time to lift the veil of lies from all the conversions performed by the various conversion Batei Din.  According to Rabbi Yaakobi′s computerized statistics, 97% of all converts who divorced in Bais din in the  12 years between 1996 and 2008, did not observe mitzvos at all.

Conversion is a halachic status, and if mitzvos were not accepted, no conversion took place.  There are no two opinions on this.  When individuals with an agenda try to remove the separation between the Jews and other nations, and cause (G-d forbid) terrible assimilation, they are tampering with the protection and defense of Eretz Yisroel.  The results are well known: wherever there was an attempt to assimilate Jews with other nations, it brought tragedy.

Almost 100% of the converts went through invalid conversions, since they didn′t sincerely undertake the keeping of mitzvos at the time of their conversion.  It is therefore forbidden for them to marry Jews, and forbidden to marry them with chupa and kiddushin.

We hereby appeal to all Rabbis who perform wedding ceremonies- chupa and kiddushin: please do not marry these fictive so called converts, and don′t become a partner in assimilation by buckling under to dictations negated to the Torah.

In the merit of this unwavering stance to protect the lamb amongst 70 wolves, we will experience the imminent and complete Geula, with the coming of Moshiach Tzidkeinu.

Do Wiki Leaked Documents Show That Egypt Is Preparing For War Against Israel?

The Lubavitcher Rebbe asks "If we just made peace with Egypt, so why is the now new "peaceful neighbor" rolling up its troops to the edge of the now "Peaceful Border?"

In the film (JEM - available on video) "Eyes upon the Land", the Lubavitcher Rebbe tells us: "What country in the world where there is a peaceful border do we have the border lined with military right after signing? If this is truly a "Peace" so why are military personnel stationed at the new peaceful border?". Obviously, the Rebbe points out, the Arab intent is not for Peace and this simply proves it. As if the Rebbe's words need to be proven, there recently came to light evidence that shows the truth of the Rebbe's prophetic and insightful statements made over thirty years ago, Arutz Sheva published a story recently about how the "WIKI Leaked American diplomatic documents" prove Egypt's non-peaceful and distrustful intentions despite the very generous terms it got out of Israel's signing away of the Sinai Penninusula by former Prime Minister Menachem Begin on September 17, 1978.

Israel National News reported in December, that even now, thirty three years later, Egypt continues to see Israel as its primary military threat despite a decades-old peace treaty. The documents imply in fact that Egypt never considered this to be any sort of Peace. Egypt and Israel had fought against each other in four wars before signing the treaty in 1979. United States diplomats have been frustrated as Egyptian leaders focus on being prepared for war with Israel while ignoring threats such as terrorism and weapons smuggling.

Some of the quotes from confidential American diplomatic reports tell an odd story: “The United States has sought to interest the Egyptian military into expanding their mission in ways that reflect new regional and transnational security threats, such as piracy, border security, and counterterrorism," said one leaked file. "But the aging leadership, however, has resisted our efforts and remained satisfied with continuing to do what they have done for years: train for force-on-force warfare with a premium on grounds forces and armor."

Another leaked memo addressed to U.S. General David Petraeus ahead of a 2008 visit to Egypt warns the general that "Egyptian Defense Minister Mohammed Hussein Tantawi in particular is the “chief impediment” to U.S. efforts to involve the Egyptian military in fighting modern threats". “During his tenure, the tactical and operational readiness of the Egyptian Armed forces has decayed,” the memo stated. While America pressures Egypt to update its tactics, Egypt requests a boost in military funding, apparently in hopes of buying advanced weapons and achieving military parity with Israel. Other leaked files reported that Egyptian officials are pushing for more than the $1.3 billion in annual military aid that Egypt currently receives from the U.S. as it still views Israel as a military threat. So much for the "Peaceful Border". By Maayana Mishkin Dec 31, 2010 (Israel National News) (Click Here To Read The whole Article)

Chabad Singer Ariel Zilber Not Allowed To Play Major Concert Due To Support For Rabbi's Letter

(Israel National News) by David Lev 12-21-10 - When the “cream” of Israeli music joined together to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the seminal rock album “Radio Chazak” (“Strong Radio”), one of the most important and influential voices in Israeli music – that of Ariel Zilber – was missing. Zilber, originally scheduled to appear at the concert scheduled for January 19, was disinvited by the “hosts” of the party, the rock group Tislam – because of Zilber's support of right-wing causes. In a statement, Tislam, the group behind the Radio Chazak album, said that it had asked Zilber to stay away from the their party. “We have a problem with comments he has made that do not align with our values.” The comments in question were made by Zilber at a memorial service last week for Binyamin Ze'ev Kahane, son of Rabbi Meir Kahane. Binyamin Kahane & his young wife were murdered by Arab terrorists leaving six young orphans. Speaking at the service, Zilber expressed support for the letter signed by hundreds of rabbis against the sale or rental of homes or land to non-Jews. As a protection against terror.

Zilber is one of the pioneers of modern Israeli music, has had a long 40 year history as an artist scoring on Israel's "Top Ten" Charts. Zilber's political views have since turned towards the right as he became more religious through Chabad. During the 2005 disengagement, he moved to Gush Katif, playing at concerts urging IDF troops not to throw Jews out of their homes. (Click Here To Read The whole Article)

Chabads "Ask The Rabbi" Provides Answer For Christian Objector Of Jewish Presence In The Holy Land

The Chabad column: "Ask The Rabbi" hosted by Rabbi Moss fielded an interesting query a few weeks ago as reported by "Life In Israel".

The Question went like this: As a believing Christian, I made a recent pilgrimage to the Holy Land. I was profoundly disturbed by the Jewish state and its criminal occupation of the West Bank. How can you justify usurping land that belongs to others?

Response:

You are entitled to your opinion on the matter. But I hope you are consistent in your beliefs. Being that you oppose a Jewish presence on the West Bank, I assume you will not be participating in any celebrations during the coming days. According to your view, there is no reason to be merry on December 25. The Christian holidays celebrate an event that you have named a criminal act—the birth of a Jewish baby to a Jewish family living in the West Bank town of Bethlehem. Your views should not allow you to have any part in this cheer, for if you did, you would be giving retroactive approval to a Jewish settlement on the West Bank that dates back more than two thousand years. Perhaps you will be joined by the UN and other humanitarian organizations around the world in condemning any celebrations this week that are connected with this controversial birth, as such events would be recognizing the rights of a Jewish family to live on what you see as occupied territory. However, I must warn you, by espousing this view and not celebrating, you will be vastly outnumbered. Not that it’s so bad to be in the minority; I personally have been all my life. But keep in mind, while you accuse Israel of occupying land, there will be two billion Christians around the world celebrating the fact that the West Bank has always been the home of the Jewish people.

Rabbi Steven Pruzansky Defends "Rabbis Letter"

In the Jewish Press Rabbi Steven Pruzansky explains the true nature of the Rabbis Letter. It "is a psak that refers to a halacha that prohibits the sale of Jewish-owned land even outside Israel to a non-Jewish anas (terrorist), and renders the Jewish seller also liable for damages caused to the remaining Jewish residents for "unleashing a lion upon them" (Bava Kama 114a, Shulchan Aruch Yoreh Deah 334:43).

Clearly, that is the context of the rabbi's letter, motivated not by anti-Arab animus but rather by a love of Jewish life and in an attempt to safeguard it. There is a reason why the Jewish National Fund has refused to lease land to Arabs for a century; after all, it is the Jewish National Fund. There is a reason why there is a Law of Return that applies only to Jews. There is a reason why most Arabs are exempt from mandatory military service in Israel, a classic instance of discrimination.

In the Middle East, bear in mind that there are Arab countries - Saudi Arabia and Jordan leap to mind - in which land sales to Jews are banned by law under penalty of death. The Palestinian Authority has executed dozens of Arabs guilty of that "crime." Israeli drivers entering Jordan - a nation formally at peace with Israel, treaty and all - are compelled to remove their Israeli license plates and affix Jordanian license plates, for fear that the sight of Israeli plates will inflame the local population!

Integration, while a splendid ideal, has not been successful in the Middle East. Not between Shiites and Sunnis, Egyptian Muslims and Coptic Christians, Iraqi Muslim and Kurds, or Lebanese Christians or Muslims. Nor has it been fully harmonious in Israel, where mixed communities like Lod, Ramle and Haifa often are the scenes of confrontations between Jews and Arabs with nationalistic overtones.

The rabbis' letter relates directly to this state of affairs, discouraging the sales of homes and fields because of the fear of intermarriage, the potential loss of Jewish identity and cohesion in the neighborhood, and the danger of inviting (not a foreign but) a hostile element into a Jewish city. The rabbis relied on the Torah's admonition of lo techanem, which one opinion in the Gemara (Avodah Zarah 20a) interprets as not giving non-Jews a foothold in the land of Israel.

As a Jew, I am commanded to love Jews more than I love non-Jews, not because there is anything wrong with non-Jews but because Jews are family. It is not immoral to distinguish family from non-family; it is right, natural and proper!

Some critics feared a public relations problem, but they need not have overreacted. They should have calmly explained that there are Torah laws that are designed to foster a communal spirit and brotherhood that is essential to Jewish life. We are not obligated to treat non-Jews as family, but it must be underscored that we are obligated to treat non-Jews fairly, decently, respectfully and with integrity - even in Israel - in a way in which they are able to pursue happiness and fulfillment in life, and, in Israel, as long as they acknowledge Jewish sovereignty in the land of Israel.

Indeed, I don't believe lo techanem means that land in Israel may never, under any circumstances, be sold to non-Jews. But when the Saudis are attempting to buy thousands of dunams in the Galilee and might soon be able to overwhelm the Jewish presence there, it is suicidal to pretend that elementary measures to preserve Jewish life in Israel are somehow unnecessary or inherently immoral. A demonstration to protest Rebbitzin Drukman's signing of the "Rebbitzin Letter"

A letter suggesting that Israeli women refrain from associating with their non-Jewish male neighbors, created a storm in Israel recently. Israeli press reported a "massive demonstration" with "angry demonstrators" last Friday the 24th of Teves in front of the Drukman family home. The demonstration was reported on countless news sources as having been staged outside the Druckman Home in Kiryat Motchkin. But, when the family was asked by Chabad.info News by phone what happened, they were told: "It never took place". Further despite all the news reports, the family seemed unaware that anything was supposed to be happening in front of their home in Kiryat Motzkin. "Please! Let them come. I would love to have them." Rav Drukman, the chief rabbi of Kiryat Motzkin replied: "Today is the Alter Rebbes Yortzeit. We were hoping for some guests to celebrate with. Police Summon Chief Rabbi of Safed Shmuel Eliyahu For Supporting Rabbi's Letter

By: Kobi Nahshoni (Ynet News) Dec 31, 2010 - Sefad's Chief Rabbi was given orders by police to report for questioning. This comes in response to a legal ruling (psak) that he and 250 other very prominant rabbis signed urging the Israeli public to refrain from renting and selling homes and property to Arabs due to the state of emergency that exists today due to the terror methods being employed which compromise Jewish safety, part of which is the use of Arab families as spies to plan attacks against Jews. As well there is a plan in place to buy out Jewish lands, in effect legally displacing Jews from the Land of Israel. However Rav Eliyahu told Ynet Friday he would not answer the summons, protesting the legality of it. "I asked them if David Grossman, Yossi Sarid, and Shulamit Aloni, who protested against the settlement of Jews in Shimon Hatzadik neighborhood, had also been interrogated, but they told me no," Rav Eliyahu explained. "I told them that If I am being accused of racism while these people are not – this is clearly discrimination!" The son of the late beloved former chief Sefardic Rabbi of Israel HaRav Mordechai Eliyahu z"tz"l, added that it was his right to publish his halachic rulings. "We have no intention of playing into the hands of the justice system, which itself behaves in an inequitable manner. Chevrei Knesset Mr. Yaakov Katz and Mr. Uri Ariel (National Union) both condemned the police action calling it the "summoning to police interrogation the great leaders of Israel" and the "persecution of our Torah and its rabbis". "Freedom of speech has been stolen from the Princes of Torah by Israeli police and the prosecution, because they believe free-speech is permitted only by radical and post-Zionist academicians, who call on Arabs to refrain from renting to Jews in their neighborhoods" (and worse) they both said today in a statement. Chabad Representatives At Israel Conference

Ft Lauderdale Florida was a backdrop to an impressive demonstration of Jewish pride and continuity at the Israel conference at the Renaissance Hotel

(Click Here To See Story) Chabad.info - Dec 24, 2010

The Project was presented in Partnership with the Chevron Jewish Community spokesman Noam Arnon. At the conference, Shlucha Rochel Holzkenner, of Chabad of Las Olas, spoke of the Rebbe's message on being a positive influence on people worldwide and making a Kiddush Hashem. And the way to merit to true peace is by doing acts of goodness and kindness. But the most inspiring speaker at the conference who really stole the show was US Congressman Elect Allan West (who is also a Lt. Col) who spoke very strongly in support of the need to keep Israel Jewish from a Biblical viewpoint (quoting Biblical passages) and from a logical standpoint of the necessity to stand firm in the face of terrorist demands. Elchonon Hellinger of Chevron spoke congratulating Congressman West on his recent win and thanking him for his support for Eretz Yisrael. Elchonon discussed the Rebbe's position on Eretz Yisrael, that there should be no territorial concessions and even having peace talks about giving away land puts Jewish lives in danger. Congressman West agreed with the Rebbe's words, and reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring Jewish property growth while opposing any peace that puts Jewish life at risk. Discussed was Congressman West's pre-election visit, Chevron, city of the forefather's, Lubavitch's unique history and historical property in Chevron. On the topic of Mearat Hamachpela and Arab and International opposition to the Jewish sovereign of the site, a program was conceived to start the project to erect Historical Information Boards outlining the Jewish history and ownership of Mearat Hamachpela from creation till now. A presentation that would use state of the art technology to educate the estimated three hundred thousand yearly visitors.Mark Cohen of Miami Florida says "this project is very important it is about standing firm against the tide and being proud to be Jewish, because of our heritage, our roots".

Rabbi Krinsky Speaks Out Against Israeli Withdrawl

(IsraelNationalNews.com) Rabbi Yehuda Krinsky, Comes Out Against The Peace Process saying: "it is forbidden to negotiate or contemplate any withdrawal from any part of territory under Israeli control" and "It not only goes against the Torah and defies simple logic, but goes against the opinion of all security experts".

Rabbi Krinsky is listed in Newsweek as "The Most Influential Rabbi in the United States", is visiting Israel. There he reiterates the futility of contemplating an Israeli withdrawal. Rabbi Krinsky, head of the central arm of the Chabad-Lubavitch movement, the International Education Center, is currently on a short visit to Israel. He took the opportunity to reiterate that Israel must not and cannot contemplate withdrawing from any territory under its control. This past June, Krinsky 77, met in Israel with rabbinical colleagues and discussed ways to preserve the integrity and security of Israel. "It is obvious that it is forbidden to negotiate or contemplate any withdrawal from any part of territory under Israeli control," Rabbi Krinsky said. "This simple logic is well understood and accepted by the majority of Americans, as well as by the higher echelons of the U.S. Administration." Rabbi Krinsky, who was a secretary and close confidante of the late Lubavitcher Rebbe, said, "The entire world, even the Left in Israel, by now sees the disastrous consequences of the withdrawals in the past. It not only goes against the Torah ruling and defies simple logic, but goes against the opinion of all security experts in Israel and the world. One should not even talk about withdrawal." "Once Israel stops vacillating and carries out its full right to build and live in every part of the Holy Land, it will gain international respect and receive mighty support from the U.S. and the rest of the world," Rabbi Krinsky assured. Chabad Info Logo Rally Supports Rabbis Psak Against Arab Terror

Some 2,000 people of mixed backgrounds gathered in Jerusalem's Zion Square Thursday night to show their support for a letter signed by over 250 rabbis who made a "Shaa Horah" a temporary ruling forbidding the rental or sale of property to Arabs.

This is to counter an Arab campaign to buy up Jewish property in Israel and to stop the incursion of terrorist spies who routinely use their cover to plan terror attacks against Jews. This is in response to the governments ignoring of increasing acts of terror against Jews throughout Israel including its helplessness in the face of a massive organized buy-out campaign of property in Jerusalem and throughout Eretz Yisrael. Seeing the governments lack of action and feeling the pain of Israeli citizenry, these brave Rabbanim, many of them government employees bravely stated their halachic opinion in spite of the danger this puts their jobs in. Meanwhile, the government always quick to ignore terror against Jews and to support Arab rights to terrorize Jews, condemned the Rabbis.

Protesters filled Zion Square to show support for the beleagured Jewish residents of Yehuda and Shomron and to protest Israel's construction freezes there in anticipation of giving the area away in effect creating a terror state within Israel itself. On another note, Knesset Member Mr. Michael Ben-Ari addressed attendees discussing his plan to house poor non-Jewish immigrant workers in Ramat Aviv. (in response to government complaints that the less affluent neighborhoods are racist in complaining about the crime wave that came with the influx of foreign immigrant workers) "I made thousands of telephone calls to the residents of Ramat Aviv asking them to shoulder their share of the burden. I told them: "You are humane, democratic and not racists. Therefore you should equally accept the African workers." Ben-Ari ended up noting that Israel's founding prime minister, David Ben-Gurion, was a proponent of Jews working (Called: avoda Ivrit). An ideal that Jews could do all of Israel's labor and that Israeli's give preference to hiring Jews in all jobs.

A reference to Israel's over 11% unemployment and continued government support for hiring cheap non-Jewish Arab and foreign laborors instead of Jews. Rabbi Shalom Dov Wolpe of "Israel Shelanu" spoke about the dangers of removing the over 350,000 Jews from their homes in Yehuda and Shomron (Judea & Samaria) as well as the security problems this poses. Rav Wolpe suggested that PM Binyamin Netanyahu may be inciting a civil war if his descision to destroy these communities goes forward. "If this happens, there will be a civil war." Local Jewish leaders and anti-Israel protesters faced off on Montague Street — again — on Tuesday, holding a raucous debate over whether West Bank-made lotions sold at Ricky's cosmetics shop support Israel's illegal occupation of the embattled region. Not that there was any actual debate, of course, just shouting across the sidewalk, as those who called for a boycott of Rav Aron To The RescueIsraeli-manufactured Ahava cosmetics and purchasers of said projects faced off for the second time in as many months (Click to see story from July). In the end, the boycott supporters ended up actually promoting the Ahava products, as furious Heights residents flocked to Ricky's with their wallets open. (Click here to read full story)

Chabadniks Protest Shas Party's Support For Disengagement

Chabad Chassidim Object To Shas Parties Support For Disengagement

JPost June 2, 2007 - Chabad Hassids who object to Shas's support for Mr. Shimon Peres cite the Oslo accords and Gaza disengagement. Shas source: "Those people are loonies."

Shas's support for Vice Premier Shimon Peres as the next president of Israel will not be shaken by a campaign launched by a radical right-wing group of Messianic Chabad activists, Shas sources said Sunday. "Those people are loonies," said one Shas source. "They are a fringe group who believe the Rebbe [Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson] is still alive." The source was referring to a group of Chabad followers who believe that Schneerson, the Lubavitcher Rebbe who died in June 1994, is the messiah. "[Rabbi Ovadia Yosef] has already decided to support Peres. Nothing is going to convince him to change his mind," the source said. Rabbi Shalom Dovber Wolpo, head of the World Headquarters for Saving the Nation and the Land, initiated the campaign against Peres, which includes the distribution of pamphlets in synagogues, letters to MKs, and billboards. According to Wolpo, who says he does not represent Chabad in the campaign, Peres is an illegitimate candidate because, as a supporter of the Oslo Accords and the disengagement, he committed crimes against the Jewish people (read whole article)
